What a beautiful film location. That distant camera angle is so damn good and I love how the kit blends in with the church. Performance was extremely solid. Can't argue with that! outstanding job my man 👊

While the performance is stunning I can't help but comment on how inefficient those movements look.
If you tried to make it more "efficient" it might sound weak though. I understand that you could offset that by where you placed the hits relative to the beat. It is a feel thing. If efficiency were optimized than the aggression would have to come in another form. It is about being on the edge. He is manifesting that with exaggerated motions.
But that’s the performance aspect of drumming coming into play. It might be more ‘efficient’ to play it differently, but it would likely be boring as hell to watch.
I understand the performance aspect of things, but when a drummer is efficient like Gavin Harrison, idk I get a bit wet. Ofc this guy is great, and he's entitled to his own style
