- The RSI Smartcap is VERY good. It's extremely sturdy and we love the look of the beefy straight lines it has. Those match up perfectly because this isn't a "Fits all 6ft beds" scenario, they're actually vehicle specific. Both sides and the rear flip up for full access and all four walls have a small porthole that can be opened as well. The gullwing panels have a 17% larger opening than traditional toppers for even easier access to inside. The Positive Pressure Air Vent filters fresh air into the cap at a greater velocity than the enclosed bed is capable of sucking air in. This keeps road dust outside, rather than all over your stuff. It has integrated roof rails to add a tent or rack on top and can hold 770 static and 330 dynamic weight. Fully customizable with drop racks, platform racks, roller racks, camp kitchen off a side, storage shelf and bin out the other side. If that's too big get a half bin, if that's too big put a drawer bin in there, whatever you need! Then go with confidence with their 3-year warranty and satisfaction guarantee.

THANK YOU for doing it TIME LAPSE with out all the dramatic sighing and whining and droning on so many people do, Utterly BRILLIANT ! saving this as I will get mine probably around Feb next year.
Cant wait, mine gets here next week.
NICE!! This is the fastest install I've seen. It only took you less than 3 minutes to install. Awesome! 🤣🤣🤣 But, great job doing it yourself.
Awesome video
Thanks for watching!
Best video I have seen yet on the SmartCap! I am contemplating one of these for my truck. Are you still using it? How do you feel about it after a couple years? Thanks in advance.
Really cool video. Put mine together a couple nights ago. It seemed to go much slower......
Thank you! Trust me, it took a long time haha!
@@Spiritof1876 how long did it take?
The assembly looks easier than I thought. Can one person lift this and put it on the bed?
Buen video
Thanks for watching!
Can you open the windows from the inside? Especially the tailgate, for camping, etc.
The porthole windows- yes. You cannot open the full flaps from the inside but I suppose you could pop the porthole and reach out then open flap from the outside.
What’s the gap from the deck system to the inside roof? I’m trying to see if a few dog kennels will fit
Unfortunately we don’t have access to this vehicle anymore, depending on what vehicle you have you could look up a Decked for it and get the height then see what the RSI lists their height as.. Then measure your bed floor to the rail, then subtract Decked height from that.
I was actually going to get a smart cap but the model for my truck is still not available until November then there is a five month wait period for Canada. Forget that. Got an ARE. Maybe not as good but I am only going to live so long.
Haha, unfortunately everything is so crazy right now. They told us recently to stop taking orders, it IS an excellent product but my Craigslist GemTop served me well for a year.
How do they get it to unpack itself. That is amazing.
Is probably remote control 😳
That’s a smart lookin’ cap. Hey are those them super bungees in the beginning? I hear there really good for strapping things to stuff, like leaf blowers to ladders and junk.
They're perfect for that, 90% of what we use them for!
Great video, can you tell me how large the opening is in the pass-through to the cab window upfront? Thanks...
I don't have one here anymore to measure but they're pretty small, probably a 1ft square.
@@Spiritof1876 interesting, did you change out the window? Thanks...
@@fathertime209 No that's how they come, the front one is the same as the side porthole windows.
@@Spiritof1876 oh okay, you don't have the cap anymore? Now I understand. Sorry and thanks for the quick response...
@@fathertime209 No problem!
Ok , muy interesante, donde comprar
Can you tell me how much it weighs?
How difficult is it placing on your truck. 3 adults and 2 small children to pick it up?
Thanks!
It is assembled upside down so hardest part is the flip but we use their shipping foam on the ground with a folded comforter over the top to pivot on. 3 adults is probably the minimum but that's all we have at the shop haha.
Where the part you inatall on your truck?
Will this fit a 4th gen ram 1500??
Check their website, they have a bunch for Ram depending on bed length for 5’ 7” and 6’ 4”.
Does it require any sealant at all?
Negative. There is a rubber gasket around the bottom of the whole thing and if the front of your bed (cab-side) drops down lower than the side rails there is an included piece of sticker foam that gets placed on the bed itself to seal up that gap.
Spirit of 1876 sorry. I meant , like in between where all the 5 panels mate together. But I’m still going to assume you understood my first question. Thanks
Sorry for late reply- there isn’t sealant required there either 👍
Spirit of 1876 all good. My smart cap arrived a few days after I posted my first comment. It all makes sense now that I’ve seen it.
I like a lot just wish wasn’t so much.
Yea they're a chunk of change but compared to other options we think it's a great deal.
Agreed. I have been researching for 6 months. This is the kind. It will outlast my vehicle...but the resale should be good when im done
Dude no visual after you put it on didn’t see how it looked on the ram! Video sucked!
