It's insane. As an adolescent I independently started believing in animism, "what if that tree is a person?!" My family were fundamentalist Christian's and I was told it was demonic oppression. It was temporarily beaten out of me but I always remembered it. I rediscovered animism (mainly due to this channel.
My family were not so extreme but this is close to my experience too. When I was young I felt very much like trees and plants were "people", and I felt more at home with them than with human people. Then I got sucked into a pentecostal Christian cult, which taught that those kind of ideas were evil, and involved demon worship. it's only now 20 years later that I am rediscovering what I truly believe without outside pressure, what makes sense to ME when I think about it.

I've been getting deeper into animism lately after deciding that the Christian world I grew up on hasn't been working for me. Thanks for your work, Arith. :)
I was raised Catholic but I couldn’t connect with Catholicism. I knew there was more out there but I didn’t yet know what it was all those years until I looked into what my Native American ancestors believed, and there were two but those two were almost identical to each other but I connected more with Animism and what I felt was finally explained to me when I learned about both but especially Animism... and my awareness of life “freed” my mind and I gained such a more heightened awareness, and it is still helping me with truth, the world, and the universe... and all that is a part of to what is currently known. It makes me so sad to see so many religious people’s minds so limited... I wish they knew how much more powerful and open animism is, but, I cannot TELL them otherwise, I can only try and “speak” of animism or spirituality in hopes that they would make their own choice to “free” their minds, because, there’s almost an unlimited possibility of understanding of all life in the universe that religion cannot and does not do for people. ♥️♥️♥️

Catholicism is very much pagan, thats why the protestants rebelled against it so harshly. Ofcourse Im talking about it in terms of a couple hundred years ago. Besides that I have grown to realize Ive spent my whole life as an animist and never realized it until a couple years ago.
So glad you found your way back.

@@siberiusthesleepingserpent312 Sure, it was on a clear sunny day in 2013, just south of Ottawa, Canada. I was driving on the highway when I noticed something strange in the sky approaching towards me in the distance. At first, I saw massive white wings, when I got closer I could see a dark humanoid figure with a serpent tail from the torso down. When the being got close enough to me, we made eye contact and then he turned in flight to parallel my path along the road. He kept staring right at me without distraction as he gradually descended, believe it or not, he also changed from serpentine to bipedal form while in low-level flight. He followed beside me for a short distance before landing in a field perpendicular to my position at the time. This very tall and muscular being cast a shadow on the ground below him, and he was affected by the wind during his landing, which also caused his feathers to ruffle in the wind. This being and I kept looking directly at each other until I drove out of view. I was terrified and in instinctual flight response - kept driving, not realizing how much shock I was in until hours after the event. When I returned home, there was an object left at my bedroom door, it was a toy double-decker bus that I had not previously been in possession of. I thought very little of it given the circumstances at the time, until the next day when a double-decker bus was struck by a train near to where I had observed the winged serpent on the previous day. The toy even had a deep puncture mark exactly where the real bus was struck by the train. I took it as an omen, telling me/us, that we are on a crash course for disaster if we do not change our ways... That was only the beginning of my encounters with this being, whom I call the Gray One, on account of his dark ashen-skin. In the years following, he has acted as a guide, teacher and protector, and I think of him continually. (I'll add, that I was not a believer in such things until coming face to face with it myself, but that since then I have dedicated most of my free time to study and a better understanding of my experience, which I do not yet claim to fully comprehend. I have also volunteered for psychological assessment, which found no mental issues except for extreme (68/100) signs of PTSD, which ensued after my encounter. This being has also appeared in orb form before multiple witnesses, pictures of one sighting I do have, as well as other video evidence of EMI effects on my car after another such encounter. There is much more to these interactions than can be explained here, but hopefully, this short summary sufficiently explains what I meant by 'physical manifestation'.) @@ABC-po6be I have never seen a serpent like winged creature.... But when I was a kid my sister and I went to visit my cousin who was camping near the town we lived in ( Grand Forks BC, Canada). We were just wandering around with my cousin when we saw a woman in a white dress with two men dressed in suits. I thought maybe it was part of a wedding party, as the woman was in white. She was singing and the three of us all stopped to listen to her, she had the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. She then leapt into the air and they all just vanished... None of us could believe what we saw and we were all freaked out by it because this woman and these two men seemed to be VERY real. I have never seen her since, nor do I know what/who she could have possibly been... But I know that still to this day the three of us all remember seeing what we saw . Our parents all brushed it off , except my dad who thought maybe we had seen some ghosts.

Absolutely! Reciprocity, self-awareness and an understanding of the universe are necessary before you can perform magic. Thank you for this video!
I know it's odd, but you are describing how I have always seen the world when I step back and really watch or getaway into nature for a few days. There is one difference, mass-produced items to me are made of different parts and take a while for their new combined essence to come together, this is why it's hard to hear these things (particleboard, new glass, worse plastic and even worse recycled anything that is broken down as part of the process). You can help them along, and over time they will come together to be a whole. A bottle that is 50 years or more tends to be able to speak as a unified spirit. While a styrofoam cooler has parts of many different voices that each trys to answer and it comes as almost a white noise whisper. If you find such a thing that has been discarded in a swap for 20 years, it starts to speak clearer and the spirits around it know it's there and can help you know it and understand. The one I am thinking of just wanted to break down and rejoin the earth like the trees leaves around it. I found it an alternate home that will be underground for many years.
Arith, you have given me words and more important hints at directions to expand my interactions on the spiritual level. Tonight I am going to try changing shape as I visit a few places, to see how my what I cast away (not sure what part of self that would be, not the Vard or Fylgja I think but am not sure). I have much to learn. I find I am thanking you every time I watch a new video. Your unique perspective is connecting many parts of the past and present practices. From some of what I have found when my ancestors have communicated you are pretty much correct especially on Animism. It is also interesting I was told to ask the spirits questions, not to seek their help in doing things. You are expanding how I can interact, and work with them buy giving me ideas that are being confirmed. Keep up the good work, you are wise for someone so young and I thank you for sharing that wisdom.

Arith said it beautifully! I was raised to believe we are part of nature and therefore we take care of it and it takes care of us. I was taught that you have to work with nature not strive to control it. When my family does rituals or spell works it’s not about manipulation but working with and knowing nature and patterns in the universe; beseeching or presenting and sometimes checking yourself in a situation to make sure you had no part in causing harm or whatever the situation was. If you take you give and you always give thanks. I believe this is good as I have seen amazing things happen. Many more things I can say but I’ll cut it here. Much love and protection to Arith. 🥰

Hi Arith, Love your channel my friend. I believe Gaia Sophia is the embodiment of this planet. She is a living entity. The anthropomorphic evidence we see in large rock faces, trees and even the land itself is proof positive of our planet, as a living entity. If there is anything to magic, it is imbued in our beautiful world we call earth. This view to me is more fluid and concise, than being involved in a dogmatic coercive religion. I feel this year everything you will be teaching us will be more of a positive, earthly way of understanding. The look on your face in the videos, you are so brighter, exited. Like seeing things with a fresh set of eyes. But yes, this video I understand everything you are saying. What is say is that when you talk about “everything has a spirit” My thoughts good right to the Disney Movie “Pocahontas “ Where is running around singing about how every rock, every tree, every creature...has a life, has a spirit, has a name. “Colors of the Wind” I know humans have butchered history and fed our kid’s kid’s kid’s.....so on so much crap about how we should treat one another and who shown us and what not. Plus I know others are going to get their panties tied in a knot because I’m using a Disney movie song as a way of expressing myself. But this song was and still is one of my favorites in explaining how we all need to interact with the earth and one another. Music, drawings, dance and really anything related to art in general is how I learn and show others how I feel. I listen to the wind, listen to the birds, the animals went making noises in the fall leaves, or in the trees. I watch the sky, the movement of the clouds. White and happy, grey and gloomy, black-powerful and upset. I pay attention the weather, for it to me is emotions of the earth. Just like us.

I am in the least qualified person to give you an answer but I hate that you haven't gotten an answer otherwise so what I've read is that to communicate with animals you use pictures and not words because their minds work differently they have more like the mind of a child so you communicate with animals with mind pictures always positive you never communicate with negative words blessed be
ever since i was told trees and plants were living, it struck me hard how people kept cutting gardens and trees. i thought about how they must feel thirsty after a long summer, they must feel pain being cut down. since then I've been sympathetic towards plants and gardens now, just imagining my place in theirs gives me a sort of comfort and understanding
Oh I can tell you about spiritual realities alright. When our daughter Nicole died, she was not ready to leave her Mom. We experienced phenomenon that would make those silly ghost show people run for the hills. It continued for almost a year, until my daughter’s soul departed for good. My father died a year before she did, my brother after her, and my mother after him. In 4 consecutive years my family was wiped out, leaving me as the only living person on both sides.

I have started reading "Goldener Ring über Uri" ("Golden Ring above Uri"), an older ethnographic/anthropologic text about people in the mountains in Uri, a part of Switzerland. The author makes a clear distinction between the magical and animism which is how i arrived here. Finding your channel has been a nice surprise!
It's amazing that people are using H.D. digital cameras, and when the exposures are viewed, entity's show up in the pictures. Almost as if these cameras are verifying in the pictures, what we already have been aware of, for a long time. People call them the others, a nondescript word, but I believe could be the spirits that inhabit our beautiful world. Our planet is a living entity, Mother Earth. Expanding Knowledge.

This is my favorite video of all your videos!!! TAK Okay, here is a suggestion. WHAT IS SACRED SPACE? Mircea Eliade spoke of SACRED SPACE in order for humans to communicate with spirit in animistic tribal systems. I think from the "Sacred and the Profane." Thank you for your time.
Im brewing a pyment (grape mead) and i swear its got an ancient spirit hanging around it the energy is so crazy around this one brew its like im taken back in time when i go to check on it truly a odd experience ive brewed many brews and never had an ineraction with one like this

The best books and articles I've read about Megalithic monuments in Portugal were from the german couple, the Leisner. Look for Georg and Vera Leisner, there are many articles in Portuguese, and look for Jorge Oliveira as well (he was my professor in the University of Évora :P) There is an interesting book from Tom Graves called "Needles of Stone", take a look. Jorge de Alarcão and José d'Encarnação wrote important articles about the Lusitanian deities.

Animism has always made more sense to me than the gods cause nature is here without it we'd be dead. I'm atheist first and foremost but will always believe nature is sacred.
