Rare Moments In Nascar

I've surprisingly never made one of these but thought it would be fitting for some of the recent events in Nascar. I have a buddy who is a huge Jason Leffler fan & despises Denny Hamlin. That 2007 Milwaukee incident solidified that detestment.

Such a shame he was killed in 2013. He was a solid driver.

@@MM126.90 In that instance it was Rockwell Automation's & Joe Gibbs' fault.
My buddy's dislike of Hamlin started in 2005 after noticing how Leffler was treated at JGR. When Hamlin came in that team made a 180 out of nowhere, making my buddy believe Leffler was nothing more than a placeholder for Hamlin, or as it's more commonly known as, guinea pigging.

@@Ultimate23Dragon As much as I Hate Hamlin he did show he was a much better driver than Leffler in the 11 in the short run that he did, Cup owners have very short fuses for incompetence behind the wheel.

I dont like Hamlin ether. However if the race team made that big of a change in performance that fast the most likely reason was Leffler just wasn't that good a driver

The Almirola/Hamlin thing still upsets me, but at the same time, I doubt he would've driven for JRM, RPM and now SHR, and I think for all my years thay I've followed him, I'm glad where he did land up in his career.

As bad as it is. It was the sponsor that made the call. Denny was fine sitting out but the sponsor said get him in.

You know the funny thing about the “white flag” incident at eldora? If you listen to nascar race control during the closing laps of the race, they call out to the flag stand how many laps are left. They say “spotter, 5 to go next time” and then the number of the car that is leading so they know who to display the 5 to go signal and eventually the white flag to. Race control literally calls out 10 to go, 5 to go, 3 to go, 2 to go, and white flag.
