I remember coming home from 6th grade and loving this game. I am a whole ass adult in a corporate job and I revisited this game again and got hooked into it again!
Despite this game being directed toward young kids it has a huge amount of content to offer you. With a surprising decent story, a complex battle system and even pvp. If you didn’t play this game as a kid and are looking for something new to try I HIGHLY recommend this game. Its fantastic!

Great video! I played about 10 years ago and fully forgot about it until a friend at college randomly mentioned that the membership was free for a bit. I got on again and was instantly hooked. Such a different experience playing with 20 year old than 10 year olds, and im still discovering mechanics i completely overlooked back then. I think if handled properly, this game has the longevity to last much longer than most would expect
I recently came back to the game after not playing for 8 ish years (I’m 21 now). I was a level 77 fire, 2nd age pvp warlord and ended in Avalon. Let me tell you, it’s crazy how much fun I’ve been having in the game. Now that I have my own money, I bought a membership on sale and have really enjoyed continuing the story where I left off at. Maybe I’m riding nostalgia, but the game does feel a lot better to play currently.
I know it's a stretch, but would love to see being able to stich with gold for those who dont/can't buy crowns. For example: crown cost for stitching is 100, so maybe gold cost can be 1,000 or 10,000
You probably play the game frequently and have bought memberships I mean if you can't afford 100 crowns, bare in mind 2.5k crowns is 5 dollars then idk what to say 💀

Im supporting you, been asking for months to have a wardrobe feature like wow collection system to stitch with Just gold, and not lose or change stats. One part I was missing from story inmersión was having waterworks gear all Time at arc 2 till Darkmoor Manor, like I wanted to dress with the zone gear styles, even for my content creator purposes. I e only used like four sets from level 20 to 150

The Devs did confirm Wallaru is the last world of arc 4. So Dasein and everything involving him ends there. Really makes me wonder what else they could possibly do for arc 5. If they even plan on going that far. Me personally I just want them to go back and revamp the arc 1 worlds to make them look nicer. I'd love to see Mooshu and Dragonspyre updated with improved graphics.
I really hope at some point they make the first arc entirely free, because even first only the first arc, you get a feel of getting somewhat powerful, but also you don't get too far into the story since we have so much now. I don't think it will be for a while since we don't even have the first world entirely free, but who knows, maybe gamigo will make the decision and find it more profitable.

i remember playing this game when i was maybe eight or so, lying so i could play it since it was 10+. i begged my mom to let me get the membership for a month when i got through all the free stuff. now i’m 18, going on 19 in a few months, and it’s nice to see how far it’s come since
Archmastery broke a lot of spells. A lot of them you can't cast first turn anymore till you get your own school pip. Until they fix that, I'd continue to say Archmastery is a good concept but is broken.
I can agree with your outro. But I would also like to see grizzleheim be free permanently as well not just because it's unlocked at level 30, but also because it's nice to have a second main questline.
i’ve been playing wizard101 since i was 6. i’m gonna be 20 soon! i never got far as a kid and used it as a social outlet to make friends but now i actually know what i’m doing. i absolutely love this game and always will. it’s nostalgic and it’ll always be my favorite
I used to play this game for hours as a kid for years. Never got to max level, but I didn't care. I liked making new characters and leveling up with my siblings and cousins. I cannot explain the nostalgia. Just being a kid, where my biggest worry was school. Now life is depressing.
While I’d love a console version first I feel like a mobile version is more likely just because of a wider reach. The apple App Store alone makes more money from mobile games than any mobile game since they take a chunk of all purchases and mobile games are some of the most profitable games. So that might push kingsile away but I doubt it
i truly believe if they were able to get this game on console it would completely bring this game back. they don’t even have to give us anything like more free worlds/zones, just the ability to play this game on my ps5 would be enough for me to pay for a yearly membership tbh
Raids are the most exclusive thing ever and if you do pvp its basically required as the gear is op and makes any build better so that is still a major flaw in this game that no one seems to address , im not saying it was made just for streamers but if you notice its only the streamer guilds that can constantly raid. its also pay to win with the energy you have to buy for cantrips every raid
My friend and i made our accounts in 2009, today we’re taking advantage of the free first arc and our s/o are joining us in game this time around. In our mid twenties, and we still get so much nostalgia from playing and are having a lot of fun
You mentionned prequests, and I really want to talk about one : Celestia's old retired prequest. There was that very hard dungeon in Marleybone that you needed to beat in order to get to Celestia and I really want to see it back. No experience needed for the quests, maybe some nice gear, but I really want that quest back to experience it myself.
@@AFreshHotBun You should normally unlock it at level 50, without having started Celestia which is possible with Wintertusk. You won't get notified by the Storm professor, and even if you do which happened to me, there is no quest.
You can still do the prequest instances and dungeon in Regent's Square if you obtained access to it before the quest was retired. I have access to it on multiple wizards! They retired monstrology from there sadly.
I just want to throw out that this is one of the more sucessful MMO'S I've had the pleasure of playing. Unlike other companies these past years (I shouldn't have to get into detail what Blizzard and Bethesda got up to) Wiz has held strong since the company turnover. There is a lot of untapped potential this game could get into and it doesn't really end up feeling cheap or borrowed.

Wizard has a decent/good player count while Pirates has dropped after years of negligence and no content creators being successful in reviving the game. Plus it was an insult for the anniversary and then the Sinbad leaked content was nothing more than a stupid crown shop minion is just sad. The devs even are unsure of Pirates future which shows the game is not in a healthy state. So at this point most of the Pirate101 community agrees that it wouldn't surprise us if it gets shut down but it would make us deeply sad. I had the jewel crafters bundle on my old account and now I miss my old account cause that was my favorite bundle.
I feel like it would be super smart for them to announce that the first arc is free and at the same time release a graphical overhaul update OF those worlds. Krokotopia and Mooshu look heavily outdated and low quality and the others (Other than Wiz City) are not too pretty either.

As someone who played this game back when I was super young, I never really got far and only did the first few zones by buying them separately. Now that the game is on Steam I started playing again with a new account. I had no idea the first “Arc” was free (I don’t even know what lies beyond that honestly and I was not aware there were Arcs) and I was planning on buying a month of membership but I guess I get to play for free :D

I remember playing when I was 8 and all I did was make a character play for a couple hours go to the little area where u play mini games. Get off. Forget how to get on my account. Restart. I never actually fully played maybe one time I came to buying my own house. Other then that interesting to see that there was way more to the game.
This game was so much fun, I used to play with my friends overseas and with harry potter just fresh this game was perfect to make me feel like a wizard when I was young.
I also have tons of gold skeletons keys, but ever since leveling a new account, I got realization of how hard it is to get gold skeleton keys after a somewhat recent update. Only real good ways of getting them now is through last day of daily assignments and events. Use to farm a ton of Darkmoor for the keys, but of course they don't drop them anymore. To any new player who hasn't played before this update to farm out Gold skeleton keys, it might be worth it to buy them if you have loyalty tokens to spare. You can buy a perm mount with gold in Crowns shop, packs could be worth it depending on the pack, and potions could also be useful. I'd say your priority in the loyalty store should be Potions since they are more or less always useful, then packs, since they can be good or garbage, and lastly the keys. I get four loyalty tokens every month so I can buy all 3 but now with my new account, I purely go for keys and one pack or potion. You can also start up a key farm by making all the wizards you can for that account and complete the daily assignment for each one. This way you can get 6 gold skeleton keys a month, plus all that you (could) with tokens 1-3. Definitely not as good as farming Darkmoor, but that just ain't an option anymore.
It's crazy that the game will be 15 this year (so 2008 start) and I've been playing since 2009. I've taken breaks throughout the years so I'm only in Avalon currently and toward the end, but wild that we're still vibing and thriving in 2023. lol

Awesome video blade! Been watching your content and playing wiz for years 😁 I think a mobile version of Wiz would be legendary! I think its definitelly doable as my wiz folder on my PC is only 12Gb and modern phones are more than capable of running wiz. They should port over the graphics setting so that people with slower devices can still enjoy the game, and those with newer devices can run it at max 😁😁
Back in the days my father played it and I watched how he played it. It was really fun and he actually grinded it pretty hard. I think I was like 5-6 years old when he (we) started playing it. I have memorys and they are so beautiful, I love it. Even tho my father stopped playing the game when I got like 11-12 y/o, he gave me his account. Since then I always have like a 1-3 month period in a year, where I grind the game. The memories and love to this game are unbreakable even I got 18 few months ago. I hope this game will never die!!

My brothers started playing wizard 101 when it came out. I was actually born in 2008 too so that’s cool. They introduced me to wizard101 4 years ago. I competed the game already but my brothers and I like to revisit now and then. It’s a really good game so I HIGHLY recommend playing. It’s sort of funny how it’s targeted for kids but most of the people playing are around 18-25 years old.

@@koji5384 there is alot of school like fire, ice, storm, myth, life, balance, and death. When I got in the game I choose death and it's pretty good and fire is good too.
I raised my kids to practice analytical skills and communication skills on the game.
Just went back to Wizard101 after copping 1 month membership. I use to play this game with my sister and my old wizard use to be Emily Goldcaster . Now my new character is Miranda DaisyPlanter. I had the jewel crafters bundle on my old account and now I miss my old account cause that was my favorite bundle.
I feel like it would be super smart for them to announce that the first arc is free and at the same time release a graphical overhaul update OF those worlds. Krokotopia and Mooshu look heavily outdated and low quality and the others (Other than Wiz City) are not too pretty either.

But Gameforge decide to interrupt this long fairy tail deleting my account because I tried to migrate my pg 2 weeks later. Rest In Peace Wizzard 101 you accompanied me throughout my adolescence and it was beautiful

As someone who played this game back when I was super young, I never really got far and only did the first few zones by buying them separately. Now that the game is on Steam I started playing again with a new account. I had no idea the first “Arc” was free (I don’t even know what lies beyond that honestly and I was not aware there were Arcs) and I was planning on buying a month of membership but I guess I get to play for free :D

I remember playing when I was 8 and all I did was make a character play for a couple hours go to the little area where u play mini games. Get off. Forget how to get on my account. Restart. I never actually fully played maybe one time I came to buying my own house. Other then that interesting to see that there was way more to the game.

I’ve played a fresh account through mooshu over the past few weeks and I feel like a kid again. There’s a joy I haven’t had in a long time
I also have tons of gold skeletons keys, but ever since leveling a new account, I got realization of how hard it is to get gold skeleton keys after a somewhat recent update. Only real good ways of getting them now is through last day of daily assignments and events.
Use to farm a ton of Darkmoor for the keys, but of course they don't drop them anymore. To any new player who hasn't played before this update to farm out Gold skeleton keys, it might be worth it to buy them if you have loyalty tokens to spare.
You can buy a perm mount with gold in Crowns shop, packs could be worth it depending on the pack, and potions could also be useful.
I'd say your priority in the loyalty store should be Potions since they are more or less always useful, then packs, since they can be good or garbage, and lastly the keys. I get four loyalty tokens every month so I can buy all 3 but now with my new account, I purely go for keys and one pack or potion.
You can also start up a key farm by making all the wizards you can for that account and complete the daily assignment for each one. This way you can get 6 gold skeleton keys a month, plus all that you (could) with tokens 1-3. Definitely not as good as farming Darkmoor, but that just ain't an option anymore.
It's crazy that the game will be 15 this year (so 2008 start) and I've been playing since 2009. I've taken breaks throughout the years so I'm only in Avalon currently and toward the end, but wild that we're still vibing and thriving in 2023. lol

Awesome video blade! Been watching your content and playing wiz for years 😁 I think a mobile version of Wiz would be legendary! I think its definitelly doable as my wiz folder on my PC is only 12Gb and modern phones are more than capable of running wiz. They should port over the graphics setting so that people with slower devices can still enjoy the game, and those with newer devices can run it at max 😁😁
Back in the days my father played it and I watched how he played it. It was really fun and he actually grinded it pretty hard. I think I was like 5-6 years old when he (we) started playing it. I have memorys and they are so beautiful, I love it. Even tho my father stopped playing the game when I got like 11-12 y/o, he gave me his account. Since then I always have like a 1-3 month period in a year, where I grind the game. The memories and love to this game are unbreakable even I got 18 few months ago. I hope this game will never die!!

I played wiz when I was younger. I always forgot my password and never finished the game. Ive made a new account and now I’m determined to be the death wizard 8 y/o me wanted to be. But damn time flies.

My brothers started playing wizard 101 when it came out. I was actually born in 2008 too so that’s cool. They introduced me to wizard101 4 years ago. I competed the game already but my brothers and I like to revisit now and then. It’s a really good game so I HIGHLY recommend playing. It’s sort of funny how it’s targeted for kids but most of the people playing are around 18-25 years old.
