Charcoal is better,you get the real feel of grilling. Propane just reminds me of using an indoor stove outside. No propane grill for me.

2:55 Man you needed some Rain-X on that windshield for sure. Living in Florida most of my life I used it on every car that I have ever owned. I now live in Phuket and do not have a car to use it on. It does not help to much on an open face motorbike helmet wind screen, the water gets on the inside an outside in that kind of rain.
And charcoal for sure, propane is just more convenient.

Motorcycled up and down much of both coasts of Thailand's south several times over the years..... Found Sam Roi Yot quite charming. A lot of development in recent years especially between Pranburi and Sam Roi Yot, I guess mainly Bangkok folks building weekend getaway houses.

That place is awesome and the price is great for what you get. I would of though over $100 a night. At that price one could stay a week or more for a vacation. Steaks looked great and an awesome view. Propane is great but charcoal or wood gives a much better flavour. Even better if you have a nice smoker and some fruit wood.
