Does anyone else get super emotional and cry happy/ugly tears when people (especially families) do their debt free screams?? 😭🙌 WAY TO GO!!!! 🥳🎉
There was a couple this week, with one of them going through cancer. Teared me up
Legend has it Dave's doing better than he deserves.
A listener from Scotland here. Close to the Ramsey clan house. Dave’s plan has changed my life. Everything is great 👍🏼
I was married to a man that always wanted what everyone else had. Trying to keep up with them. Exhausting and expensive
the debt free screams give me chills and HOPE every single time
What Rachel said about auto repairs is huge. Drove an old beat up Camry for a long time, needed a new dogbone engine mount. The shop quoted me $800 to replace a $60 part. Two bolts, a couple wrenches, a piece of scrap lumber and a floor Jack and I replaced it in 15 minutes.
The Pope Benedict quote is amazing! “The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness”
- Pope Benedict XVI
Love the millionaire hour. Made it all myself - started at $17,500 a year. Key is spend less than you make and pay yourself first before you figure out what you can spend.
I live in milwaukee area. The guy, Nick, with the need for kids braces can go to Marquette Dental school for affordable braces. Work is done by students but professors are right there watching everything.
I’m right on the Mexican border. The amount ppl that cross for dental is amazing. They wash all the tools in whisky between patients. The whiskey is a great pain killer for the kids. Haha. Jk jk they actually have some world class care at reasonable prices.
Braces are NOT an emergency, period. An orthodontist made a big deal about my son's biting being off and charged me 6k for braces. I don't think so. I'm also holding off on my other teen; he really needs them, but it will be when I can afford them.
Gold and silver have been traded for thousands of years before the stock market even existed... they have an intrinsic value and are recognized by every country in the world... and can be sold/traded without any bank or government getting in the middle.
Dave is wrong when he says Gold has a 2% rate of return over 60 years. It's about 7.2% still less than the overall market rate of return, but triple what he thought it was. Don't dump everything into gold or silver. But as a hedge against inflation it could be a small part of a well diversified portfolio.
I live in Silicon Valley. One of the most expensive parts of the country. A five minute Craigslist search yields plenty of affordable Camry options...
It's not that we believe in conspiracy theories, we just believe in questioning what the government tells us.
As someone who came from a family who couldn’t afford braces, it affected EVERYTHING growing up. It wasn’t until I was 25 and got them on my
Own that my confidence picked up and I started thriving.
I don’t care what you have to do. Get braces for your kid!
I agree. I was in the same position as a kid and cover my mouth anytime I talk or smile.
I agree. I was cringing when he suggested waiting. I think a second opinion is helpful, but usually the earlier you start braces, the less expensive the treatment plan is because the problems are smaller. Like “a stitch in time saves nine.” You can find good treatments for less money so shop around a little bit then get them in those braces!
@@Mama2CDHsurvivor Of course these are the same guys who say you should save up for a furnace if it goes out in The winter sooo…not surprised.
My pediatric dentist told my mom I needed braces when I was 7. I'm 31 and my teeth are just fine without ever having braces. I would suggest getting another couple of opinions
Dave is absolutely on to something talking to the woman who was worried about not finding a $15,000 2014 Toyota Camry. Just a quick search and I found several for less than that amount in great condition. My guess is she's looking in the wrong places and talking to the wrong people
Are you in the Bay Area though? I couldn’t find anything less than 20000 after a quick search (in Silicon Valley)
...funny...paid $15k for a 2014.5 Camry 3 years ago...
...still have it...still love it...aside from some trans issues...
I'm not saying invest everything in silver and gold. But over the last 12-13 years my silver has doubled and my gold has almost tripled in value. My retirement account though over the same period hasn't consistently hit the 10% mark Dave usually talks about. Cast your bread onto many waters as Scripture says.
LOVE when it’s Dave and Rachael!!
Same here!!! As much as I love George/Jade/John, there is nothing for me like Miss Rachel & Dave! :)
I don't know why he has Jade or some of the others. Why not have Rachel on more of the time? She's the most talented of the lot. The rest are just Dave imitators. The only one who was ever really entertaining in his own right was Chris Hogan.
They are all just Dave imitations, and that's fine with me!! I like 'em all! Rachel just grew up with it her whole life, so she knows a little more.@@cruisinusa5110
Honestly, these stories about the every day millionaires is so encouraging and refreshing, because it gives hope! Hope that it can be done. I'm still working on the baby steps and getting out of debt, but yeah, this was great to watch!
Mike Rowe and Dave Ramsey in the same room! Looking forward to that!
❤❤❤❤❤ I love this show! I had the conversation with my family and we paid our home in 5years! Now I can build wealth and buy another home 😅
I’m fully onboard for a conspiracy theory podcast with Rachel!
Dave is always on point and always one step ahead.
Love seeing Father Daughter duo talk show !!!❤
Pope Benedict has so many good quotes. Amazing theologian.
Fun show! Love the relationship between Dad and Daughter! Now that’s something to be jealous of! Just awesome! And really fun to hear all the millionaires. Gives us hope and determination! 🤙🙏🙌
I would love a conspiracy podcast from you Rachel, don’t listen to your dad people would love one!!
Yes, please. Would love to listen to her thoughts on conspiracy theories 😊😂
I get enough conspiracy garbage from listening to my husband. I would not love it. It's a waste of time in my opinion. Still love him though. And I still think Rachel is great.
I got my braces at 24 years old. And my smile is gorgeous. Braces are definitely not an emergency. Get them when you can afford them.💪🏾
I am the proud owner of a 2014 Toyota Camry. It needs a few things done but still has a long life and is really reliable.
I miss Dave's " debt is dumb" intro. It was catchy. Guess I hate change. Still love the show. Great talented people
I haven't listened to this show in forever. Didn't know they changed it. Maybe Dave is going to start pushing debt as a valid form of building wealth. I don't like it.
Yep, getting all touchy feely now with Daloney and all the realtionshop bs
@@dandahl5964 Psychology is directly correlated with how people spend their money. When you have 2 PhDs, we’ll listen to your thoughts, pumpkin.
If you tape the Childrens mouth when they sleep their teeth will straighten out. This is factual , save 10k when children sleep with their mouths open it affects muscle strength and jaw development adversely causing teeth to shift. There have been countless studies on this.
Braces are not mandatory. Straight teeth are not a condition of happiness. 🤔 They wanted to break my jaw decades ago to line up my rear molars. Still going strong decades after refusing to have that work completed.
Dentists are some of the worst when it comes to pushing services. You walk out feeling like you need to get 20 things, each of which are thousands. Also, now they literally have people that their only job is to convince you to get braces or teeth whitening, etc. it’s so oppressive
Going through a divorce, and I admire what you've shared with us. You guy's showed me a lot of the things I was doing wrong that put me in bad debt..Thanks
Braces Guy! Get multiple opinions, I went to one and they said I needed 5k in work 20 years ago went to another one and they said I didn’t really need anything.
Thank you guys for your dedication to making the world a better place, by helping so many in such difficult times, and teaching adults to look at their decisions with full accountability ❤ The outcome outweighs the pain...keep pushing people!!!
I missed Rachel!!! Nice to have you back on the show🎉🎉🎉 love this two!!
Please, Rachel! A conspiracy theory podcast hosted by you (or you and George) would be phenomenal!
Congrats Anthony and Lauren! It would have been so easy to pay off the debt slower but you KILLED it!!! Much love from Kentucky!
You're right, Dave... I used to drive a 59 Corvette... fast, but if you wanted to stop, you had to plan about 1/4 mile ahead of time 🤪 and it cornered like a tugboat
Do not take the first offer. Do your research and validate all the comps. We had two cars totaled and my husband researched it; none of the comps that they provided were valid and most were out-of-date. The insurance company will low-ball you. We received 50% - 100% more than the original offer by the insurance company.
This show helps me so much! I can already feel myself avoiding issues with my money from listening to the mistakes of others. Thanks!!
Big shoutout to Rachel. Every time she co-hosts with Dave (her dad), he talks over her and interrupts. I’m not sure he even realizes he does it. She handles it with professionalism and grace. To his credit, his commentary is always spot on.
Rachel: Keep shining.
Dave: Do better.
To both: We (as a country and individuals) are better because of what you do. Thank you!
I knew I liked Rachel for a reason. Right on Rachel! If your dad’s generation paid attention to the world the way people do today perhaps we’d be in a better place.
We are in a better place last century was plagued with much more mischief
Regarding conspiracy theories:
What’s the difference between a conspiracy theory and a fact?
These days, about six months.
Three years ago, I made a decision that I now realize was not my wisest. I leased my Q60 car for $500 a month with a $5,000 downpayment for 38 months. Looking back, it was one of the dumbest things I could have done. However, I'm not here to dwell on the past. Today, I'm here to share with you a story of redemption and inspiration.
When my husband offered to let me drive his Jeep Grand Cherokee, I should have taken him up on his generous offer. But my ego got in the way, and I leased my Q60 instead. Then COVID hit, and I didn't drive the car nearly as much as I thought I would. Now, with my lease coming to an end next month, I was faced with a tough decision. Should I pay off the $20.5K payoff amount and keep the car or return it and pay the associated costs?
After careful consideration, I made a bold move and chose to purchase and pay off the car. Some might say it wasn't the best financial decision, but I feel differently. I could have returned the car, but with today's high car prices, I don't think I could have gotten as nice of a car for the same price. I could have financed it, but why pay more than the actual residual amount in interest? Plus, after years of paying for a lease, it feels amazing to be debt-free.
I learned a valuable lesson from this experience: feeding your ego doesn't do you any good. While it might feel good in the moment, in the long run, it's not worth it. Instead of spending $59K on a luxury car, I could have saved or invested that money. But as they say, experience is the best teacher, and I sure did get a costly lesson.
Now, I'm focused on building my wealth back up again, one day at a time. To anyone reading this, I hope my story inspires you to make better financial decisions. Don't let your ego get in the way of your financial well-being. Remember, every small decision you make today can have a huge impact on your future. Keep fighting and striving towards your goals, and never give up on your dreams.
Such a great episode! They’re so funny and entertaining together. Lots of inspiring stories.
Delaying braces or putting them on too early can result in a higher cost. Just saying. Worth asking the orthodontist or a second one as well since a second opinion is worth it.
Those two are precious while working together.
Rachel looked appalled when her dad dismissed her and the conspiracy theory talk... very disrespectful... Shame on him...not precious at all
Then she's telling the story of college kid getting big tip and Dave butts in to beat her to the punch line. Park your ego Dave... Rachel is very capable
58:30 caller who has $2,300/mo in duplex payments with the primary home paid for, don't pay those off early if you have 3.0%/30yr loans.... if it's commercial loans, feel free to pay those off. Dave's teachings don't really apply if mortgage rates are less than half of the rate of inflation
Transplant meds are between $3,000 and 5,000 a month. 3 years after transplant. I have 2 transplant family members
For some, short-term investing in floating rates is simply a default position as they find that stocks are highly valued everywhere, meaning that perfection is often at a premium, which increases the risk for some thoughtful investors. It's not necessarily a matter of timing. For others, it's a way to build a neutral portfolio in a situation fraught with uncertainty. Finding a good investment advisor goes a long way toward organizing and planning this. I recommend Dan Price CFA because of his unique understanding and analytical approach to the markets.

If you need a broker recommendation, I recommend
Dan Price C FA
I am delighted to have met my advisor, Dan Price, here. As an investment instructor, his expertise is truly remarkable. The investment portfolio he recommended has helped me achieve my investment goals.
Gotta love the tech school millionaires with no college 💪
Sometimes people just need someone to tell them what they already know. It’s hard to set your emotions aside and really know what you’re supposed to do. It’s affirming to have a professional tell you.
I DI moved to Queretaro at 79 in 2021, when USA became too deadly and expensive. I love this cool and safe city.
Thank God, I do not have to beg for donations. My pension takes care of all, and I always pay it forward to non-beggars. I have been visiting and ' in Mexico, mainly Acapulco.
I had overcrowded teeth and vampire teeth growing up and got picked on. My parents couldn’t afford to get me braces. I got them for myself has an adult and they now look marvelous and I get lots of compliments! 😁
I still got mangled up teeth but whatever. Goes with my mangled everything else and broken soul. Haha.
I don’t think anyone realises how important it is until it happens to them.. I was the same as you, I had stained black teeth from when I was a baby. My Mother took too much iron when I was a baby. I NEVER smiled or spoke, I avoided both at all times. When I was in my late 20’s I finally found a dentist who could fix and accepted a payment plan. Now, I smile and I’m outgoing. It’s changed my life. Don’t hold back on buying your kids braces, or fixing their teeth, it really has damaging effects on them if you don’t.
Addressing the dentist one, I 100% would advise (not that I was asked lol) to get a second opinion.
Anyone know if the orthodontist with $1M in student loans has paid it off? He was on the show years ago and in the borrowed future documentary. Would love an update! I think about him and his wife often
This was another great show Dave. Full of needed information.
Awesome 👏
Soldier on!!
U guys are helping so many
Regarding Valerie who is looking to replace her Toyota Camry - go to some of the reputable used car dealers in your area and tell them what you are looking for because they have access to dealer auctions and can possibly find a Camry you're looking for, or they may get one in on trade. I would also go tell your local new car dealers especially if you have a Toyota dealer to let you know if one comes in on trade. I think you would be happy with a comparable Honda Accord too IMO I've owned a few and they are extremely reliable and comfortable cars. Good luck!
Thank you. I’m 69 yo and I had a credit card one time in 1993 ( sent to me by mistake even though I told the nice lady that it was the right name and address but incorrect ssn). She got my ssn and told me to keep it, so I decided to give it a test run, but only used it for about 6 months when I saw the writing on the wall. I was then told I had great credit so I could buy a car. I went to the dealership and bought my dream vehicle. About 3 months later I was involved in a hit and run with witnesses that did about $24,000 damage to the car. Automatically it was worth lots less and my insurance company raised my Rates $400 a month after initially canceling it altogether. I let it go back. I have owned several companies and I’ve never obtained a bank loan ( except student ). I drive a 2005 Camry with 285 k miles and it still runs great. I have considerable medical problems but I’m a veteran. But as you can see I’m still around( as of this writing). I told a banker one time I had no revolving credit and she said I was basically dead. That’s what people think. That you’re useless as a human being if you don’t have good credit. I say f them all. Sincerely, debt free.
My motto “If you don’t have it don’t spend it”. Americans are drowning in debt but most people I talk to say they pay their cards off every month 🫣They’re in denial and perceive happiness as buying junk they don’t need. I have friends who literally have rooms full of junk in boxes they haven’t ever even opened! Sorry I’m rambling on a rant.
I agree a lot with Dave but one thing about “most millionaires haven’t inherited anything” is that doesn’t include nepotism
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids. I love that city
I needed braces and a jaw operation and my parents didn’t have money for that till I was 19. Getting teeth fixed is a luxury and many people I know do it as an adult. Not fun or convenient - but they’ll live 😂
You need to take the kids to an orthodontist. Dentist will miss important things like a narrow palate. You can’t change the shape of your smile/face after a certain age. My dentist never knew this.
Elise from Charlotte asked if she should put her divorce settlement into retirement or buy a house. Both Dave and Rachel ignored her actual question and went on and on counseling her on confidence even though she said she'd listened to 1000 hours of the Dr they talked about. I'd like to hear the advice about retirement fund vs house !!
Listen, I bought my car last year from a dealership that buys cars from auctions. Paid $10,000 cash for a 2012 Nissan maxima and it hasn’t given me any issues yet. Only money I’ve had to put into it was regular maintenance. This is my first car and i will always pay cash for future cars from an auction!!!! Regular dealerships are ALWAYS trynna scheme!!!
You two rule !!!😊
Rachel is a real one!! Right on!
Love the matching outfits!!
Best combination of hosts for this show!! Love it!
I am stunned listening to these videos, huge income, debt not too bad and seems easy yo pay off but they're stuck?
omg i love Dave and Rachel's chemistry dynamic! And yes I agree with everything Dave said about finances and life wisdoms but when it comes to "conspiracies" I'm gonna have to side with Rachel on this!!! lol too funny! Actually I would love to hear both of you touch on stuff that's happening in current world with politics and covid and all these conspiracies that came out to be true! from time to time! It's so entertaining ! :)
First time comment***....
Just like to say how valuable the 'Babysteps Millionaire Hour' is, and how inspired it makes me feel in BS4. Please can we get more of this❤
I would love to do more of what I love!!❤ I’ve done the assessment but I am afraid to leave my current job because I’m still in debt. Oh gosh, you were just speaking about this. I’ll check over my assessment again and possibly get debt free and be ecstatic daily!!
It’s good to see Mrs Cruze and Mr Ramsey together on the show. ❤
Go Rachel! I love the conspiracies- right there with you! 😅🙌
My FAV duo ❤❤❤
Dave is awesome
May God have mercy!
I just love this show. So inspiring. I literally got teary eyed at the Jason Derulo story of him ripping $5,000!!!!🤯
But if you focus on and do whatever everyone else is doing, you can fit in and be normal and avoid being different
Love how Elise said infidelity and they immediately assumed it was him that did it. Not saying they were wrong, but she didn’t specify and we’re only hearing one side.
39:00 hello!
So what about all these other banks that have closed?! Europe etc. It’s not just SVB. A lot of the conspiracies are true! God gives us wisdom. Good job Rachel 👍 still love you Dave. 😊
3/22/2023, 3:33 pm Pacific time
Dave is so funny, he just knew it was called tic tac LOL. I laughed so hard every time he said it. Good to know I can learn while laughing. TIKTOK 😂
I had a teen with braces. Then later in his twenties a second set of braces due to not using the retainer. ( braces can come later, great info!)
I love Rachel!! Im here for the CT!
That was a cute exchange when Dave stole the punchline. My husband does that all the time.
Congratulations on the event center!!’
"Quiet quitting" is pure laziness and "it's all about me me me"!! Teach your children a good work ethic.
I`d love a conspiracy show with Rachel!! ❤
Right on Dave on the dentist. Braces for the most part is cosmetic. It can wait.
Rachel looks so much like Dave!
I want to hear Rachels theories!
The greater the passive income you can build, the freer you will become. Taking the first step is the hardest, but 5 houses later living off passive income since July 6, 2016. You’ve got to start taking steps to achieve your goal.
What kind of investment would you advise? And what is the best way to follow it?
*ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER* is the best in this space, I'm happy to come across these recommendations. I have worked with her and I am impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the investment diligence packages she provides.
