    Thank you Mr Katsaris. This was the most compelling performance of this glorious Sonata I have yet heard.

    really great performance. It's like listening to the orchestra itself. Katsaris's interpretation of this song is wonderful and his technique is so amazing that I thought it was a better song than anyone else. In particular, I groaned at the way the five movements were put together. I thought again that this person is really amazing.

    Outstanding performance! Bravo! - wonderful clarity in voicing and great attention to detail - thoroughly satisfying performance! Technically never in doubt of every moment being under this artist's total control and command, it is his sensitive playing and great musicality that ultimately elevates this interpretation to the highest level. Can't say enough good things about this performance!!

    Many movements of his hands are technically superfluous. See for instance 23:48 in the Scherzo, just a conductor movement, not necessary, neither for the sound nor for relaxation. But I also like to look at these movements. Great rendition in my view, love him, as my old and beloved teacher Javier Sanz del Rio did.

    • @Paroles_et_Musique
      @Paroles_et_Musique Před 3 lety

      In general, interpreters of this quality never have superfluous movements, the reason on why he does it may remain unclear to you, yet I am sure it helps him.

    • @andreasneumann
      @andreasneumann Před 3 lety

      @@Paroles_et_Musique superfluous in comparison with greater pianists. Some movements have no effect on the musical outcome. They are nice to look at as I described above, but the don't serve any musical ideal. Therefore, I don't need to be a great pianist myself to have an opinion on such movements.

      These guys do a lot of additional movements, the reason may be unclear to others, but their frequency indicates that their are necessary. They have nothing to prove by doing such movements.

    Injustamente, la primera vez que oigo a este pianista desconocido. Espectacular, insuperablemente mejor que otras versiones de Arrau disponible en CZcams (con unos fallos de digitación claomorosos del viejo maestro). Esta es un prodigio, de hacer sencillo lo complicado. El movimiento lento una delicia y la coda final de apabullante velocidad la despacha con facilidad pasmosa. Enorme artista
