This is their performance at the Grammy awards when they won it for this song. When they accepted the award, Aaron was so nervous that he forgot to mention his wife until Linda nudged him to remind him. It was very sweet. The record company was “uncomfortable” with their affection for each other, so Linda went out of her way to kiss him and put her head on his shoulder just to stick it to them. I love her! They were not a couple. They had a great chemistry and mutual respect for one another. She did a beautiful duet with James Ingram and was part of a trio with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. It would be great to see a reaction to one of those performances. 🌺✌️

One of the most beautiful duets. Both have fabulous voices. Also check out Linda's first big hit in 1967 "Different Drum" with The Stone Poneys. Other hits were "Hurt So Bad", "You're No Good", "Long Long Time", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Desperado", Tracks Of My Tears" etc. Linda also did a few albums called Trio with Dolly Parton & Emmylou Harris that you might enjoy.

YES!!! DEFINITELY a vocal match made in Heaven!! They actually did a several duets. "All My Life" was another one! As you said they are each Power House Vocalists and together they make exquisite music! I really enjoy watching your reaction videos and I look forward to seeing more of them. Take care.

Aaron was at one of Linda’s concerts, she sent him a message asking him to do a duet on her album. They finished the recording session and Aaron said I will see you at the Grammys. The producers didn’t know how viewers would react to seeing an interracial singing performance so they told Linda to not hug Aaron. Linda hugged and kissed Aaron. They weren’t a couple but great friends . In one of the awards shows Aaron was doing his thank you list and had forgot to include his wife ,Linda whispers to remind him.

    Loved this señor!!!!
Oh my... Where to start with Linda? I guess by saying, without any reservation, that she is an American national treasure... And by saying so, is still an understatement.
She sings in Spanish as well. (Perfect Spanish) Her father was Mexican and the one who encouraged her in music from the start.
In the sixties , she was one of the first women singing Rock music (which then it was a male dominated genre). She was highly successful at it. ("You are no Good" is one of my favorites) She has also broken into other genres swimmingly making her extremely versatile.
She has had any achievement award you could think of (repeatedly).
My favorite songs by her are: "Blue Bayou"
"Long Long Time", "Heat Wave", "Will you still Love me Tomorrow",
"Tracks of my Tears", "Just One Look" "Somewhere Out There" and a very famous duet with Aaron Neville, "I Don't Know Much" here. among many ..many others (These are the ones that immediately come to mind).
Being bilingual, I can also appreciate and value her Spanish songs and achievements.
My favorites in that 'Mariachi' department are:
"La Charreada", "Tú, Solo Tú" , "Volver, Volver", "Por un Amor " and "La Cigarra"
Thank you for bringing Linda back and for your reactions to music which I consider priceless. You are an impressive man. Remain excellent señor... :)
    Much love and appreciation,
    Jaime

Have always loved this song. Linda Ronstadt has always been one of my favorites. The first concert I ever attended was a James Taylor concert with Linda Ronstadt as the opening act (before she was famous) at Tanglewood in the Berkshires in the early 70s. She was outstanding could have let James Taylor take the night off and have her do the entire evening and would have still been an excellent concert.

Yes you really need to jump in both of their rabbit holes, Aaron is one from a musical family, now past his 80 and still sounds amazing! He just kind of retired from touring last year, was fortunate to see him again, 2 years ago. Linda unfortunately can no longer sing, because of Parkinson.

Oh Travis thank you so much for doing this! I have been trying for months and months to get my favorite reactors to do this and you finally did it yay!! it’s so good isn’t it! I don’t know if you have done any Fleetwood Mac or have any interest, but if you watch them do Rhiannon from the midnight special in 1976 you will not be disappointed! I think you’re awesome just so you know…I’m fan girling here a little bit, I’m old enough to be your mom…you are a very safe and loving and special human and I’m enjoying watching your channel grow ✌️🌻💚✨

The duets between Linda and Aaron are phenomenal. For some other great duets check out "Rhythm, Country & Blues" 1994. The album debuted at #1 on Top Country Albums and #15 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Aaron and Trisha Yearwood, Natalie Cole and Reba McIntyre, BB King and George Jones are just a few of the great duets of singers from different genres blending the 2 into pieces of magnificence.

Travis I just stumbled onto your channel, and I find your critiques sound. May I suggest a song Shirley Murdock's As We Lay. Shirley (raised in the church) has a powerful voice, but it is the lyrics being the focal point.

You should listen to one of her Spanish albums my favorite is Frenesí a collection of Big band Latin music. The orchestra behind her is the Who’s Who of salsa music you should take a listen it’s pretty amazing. She also sings opera, Broadway jazz. Linda is half Mexican.
The link for her performing Frenesí is below.
