Patrick Seitz GETS what makes Dio such a great villain. He's not simply a rage-filled monster, he's a charismatic and compelling figure. The way he speaks sends chills down your spine, but also leaves you somehow enraptured. The casting of this whole series was fantastic.

People have expectations when it comes to dubbing a show like Jojo, so obviously people are going to be skeptical, wanting the English cast to live up to what the previous voice actors brought to the table. I've seen a fair bit of people say that Joseph's voice in Part 3's dub is really bad, which I don't agree with, but I think his late actor Unshō Ishizuka brings so much to the character. The only thing I wish that Hol Horse's english actor did was give the character a Western/Southern accent, almost like what they did with the OVA's dubbing, but I still think he did a really good job. I may be biased though, considering Hol Horse is one of my favorite characters.

This is actually one of the creepiest moments in the arc. Hol Horse tries killing Dio point blank, fails and Dio…let’s him live. That moment when the Reaper’s scythe is around your neck and then suddenly retracts is one of the most chilling feelings one can ever have. It’s relief mixed with absolute terror.
I feel like dio is making me go slowly insane the more I keep thinking about his voice I can deadass hear his voice in my head I’m not joking I need help.
Imagine he pulled his eye out as some sort of warning if he failed again or something, I think Phantom Blood Dio would've definitely done something like that
It's the smart thing to do. Because if he would just let Hol Horse go he would eventually figure out DIO's secret similar to how Kakyoin noticed how DIO cut his barrier all at once. Then probably gave up his loyalty to DIO and snitch to the crusaders.
Imagine you being hol horse Your ready to shoot you slowly press the trigger, then all of the sudden chills run down your spine as DIO somehow acknowledges that your going to shoot him, your standing still in shock you have not pressed the trigger then with a blink of the eye hes right there..behind you...you just shit your pants and remain still DIO walk away leaving you in the dust....
I like how Dio fighting jotaro doesn't look scary but when shadow DIO was tryna put the flesh bud on avdol, polnareff and kakyoin he looked like a whole demon
This is one of those scenes, at least for me, that you don't really appreciate the significance of right away, but after completing Part 3, it all makes sense.

Exactly how Jotaro describes it, but more of sleep paralysis but it effects everything but the giant buff English Vampire and his equally giant buff Unholy Diver set to make you into a donut or a pincushion. The choice is his.
The OVA Hol Horse actually shoots DIO but OVA DIO is impressed that he kept his cool and shot directly to his head and gave him a 2nd chance to prove himself of his loyalty but later Hol Horse just wakes up from dreaming that memory

This is one of my favorite scenes in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Two of my favorite characters in the same room, interacting. How could it get better than this? It's also interesting how opposite these characters are. Dio is obviously a character who will die for a cause and will do anything to achieve his goal, no matter what. And Hol Horse is a character who would do anything to save himself and will run away from his goals if it means that he survives.
Short answer: HES FABULOUS AND LOVES HIMESELF. Long answer: Dio dresses like that because he sees himself as a godly figure standing at the pinnacle of all life now he’s not but he thinks he is. Anyways so Dio wears revealing outfits to continue to inflate his ego and to invoke love and envy from his subordinates. Spoliers. I think the reason he did in part 6 however is different I think he was doing it there to test pucci sexuality. (btw I’m not bringing this up as a shipping thing) but in part 6 one of the requirements for heaven is that you have to be asexual so as dio and pucci got closer as friends I think he continued to test him by wearing less and less clothes eventually culminating to them reading on a bed Dio is shirtless. And of course Pucci passed as he was able to obtain heaven I’ll be it briefly. Anyway just a tangent about dios outfit choices hope it was a fun read 😂😂

Hol Horse probably could've done some serious damage had he pulled the trigger. If Emperor really could do the damage that Hol Horse boasted, then he could've stopped Dio for a good while. Star Platinum managed to knock Dio out of commission for a bit with one good blow to the head that effectively destroyed the skull.
It kinda sucks they forgot about the accents of most of the characters in this part. In Parts 1 and 2, Jonathan, Dio, and Joseph's dub actors have British accents, but at Part 3 they drop both Dio and Joseph's accents. I don't know if that was just lazy casting or a purposeful choice but it makes no sense at all to me why they'd do that.

It kinda sucks they forgot about the accents of most of the characters in this part. In Parts 1 and 2, Jonathan, Dio, and Joseph's dub actors have British accents, but at Part 3 they drop both Dio and Joseph's accents. I don't know if that was just lazy casting or a purposeful choice but it makes no sense at all to me why they'd do that.
I'm actually curious as to how Dio met all of the enemy stand users.
I'd like to imagine DIO using The World to see if HH left, only to be like "oh shit lol he can't be serious! Ok ok" and goes back
