    Did you need to drain or prime at all? Have a 92 Malibu, pretty much same setup.

      No, this is an inline filter, not too much gas came out when I removed the cover.

      I pulled mine apart, dont even think I have a pump. Lol. Hose went from tank to a canister filter, to the engine. Even more simple than previously thought.

    I was having an issue where at idle it runs fine but once I get on plane it starts to lose power thought it was a fuel issue change the filter not much of a change any ideas on what else needs to be done

      Maybe fuel pump or carburetor causing it?

      I had the same issue. Was the small in-line fuel filter right at the carb, from the steel fuel line. If it's not that, check for air leakes at your fuel line connections.
