Postal 1 is quite dark, and it really made people question video game violence back then. Hell even the postal office in the us sued RWS for the representation of a postal worker going insane and beginning a murder spree. That controversy it caused probably led to the decision made by RWS to make the sequel a lot more comedic, and to take potshots at the topic of videogames and violence. The charm postal 2 has was, in some part, product of the controversy that postal 1 initiated.
