Bob Marley and The Wailers - Lively Up Yourself (Carlton Barrett Raw Drum Track)

  • Tribute to the late great Carlton "Carly" Barrett.
The raw drum track off of Bob Marley and the Wailers "Lively Up Yourself" from the album Natty Dread. Recorded in 1973 at Harry J Studio, Kingston, Jamaica. If like me you love the unique drumming style of Carly Barrett then this is gold dust. I spent many an hour trying to copy Carly's unique one drop style - here it is, up front and crystal clear. Percussion in the background is by Alvin "Seeco" Patterson.

No they didn't write any song, it's only bob who was the producer of the wailers, but I man know that there is a story telling that the Barrett wrote some song for bob, but they didn't.
