Mayu is a legend in the making. Nemophila do covers better than any other band. There’s so many good ones to choose from. Their Skid Row, Motley Crue, Babymetal, and X Japan covers are especially good. However, both of their Maximum the Hormone covers are their best. They absolutely kill it.
She's a killer for sure. Their covers are such a tribute to the band they are doing. Check out either of their Maximum the Hormone covers next. OIRAN live at NAON YAON too. Their X-Japan cover of Kurenai is amazing too. Check out the drummer Tamu in that one. They absolutely killed their new single REVIVE in the livestream too the other night. So awesome Nemophila.

They have made a bunch of great covers. Check them all out, especially the Japanese songs you never heard created by bands you’ve never heard of, especially the two ShowYa covers where the original drummer sits in while Tamu is on maternity leave.
Also be sure to catch their awesome original Oiran, the version recorded in that same studio.
I love playing this song along with them on bass :) I mean: It's not a hard song to play but its fun and great for warmup for example. I actually like this version better than the original since the guitar sound is just heavier :)
try "blooming" or their first song "oiran", she scream really good in those two song. Nemophila is my number one band right now 🤟🏼

I’m a huge Nemophila fan, but wanted to mention if you’re LP fans they performed at Blizzcon before Chester passed. You can watch the whole concert on CZcams. It was a pretty good show.
Mayu's has an distinctive voice, it's rasp w/beauty. Tamu's one great drummer. flawless.

Here is the amazing thing they dont practise these there that good they all read music even Tamu has drum music. Mayu picks the covers as she has to sing them Saki right guitar as you look usually does the arrangement and translates it for Mayu if its in English and she has to copy it as she can not speak English then they run through a few times till they have got it .Some of the covers they leave the errors in the video and usually start laughing and they dont realy do them at live shows there own music is better and they have a full set of kick ass songs .The covers are for fun and they like playing with each other +for a while they uploaded covers every Friday as they wanted to get a YT following it worked look at the view numbers .No one told Mayu your not supposed to be able to do the 17 s scream LOL.
"Hybrid heory Tanhayee". This is also weird, one of my friends recently made me hear it. But the've got groove which is bound to make you headband!

Good reaction to a great cover by Nemophila! My personal favourite Nemophila cover is Babymetals "megitsune" where Mayu is doing a great thing with the pigsqueals so I recomend that, but if you have not heard the original do listen to that first.
Saki, guitarist in Nemophila is a big babymetalfan and collector which you can see in the video: czcams.com/video/xh9lAwNr5M8/video.html Saki have played together with Takayoshi Ohmura, one of the most frequent members of the Kami band (Babymetals backing band) and other kamiband members have cooperated with many of the musicians you are now discovering, for example was Miyako from Lovebites playing with Leda Cygnus (Kamiband guitarist) on live shows with her other band Sonic Lover Reckless. Tamu, Nemophila drummer, have been playing live with Gacharic Spin that are close friends with several in the Kami band including Boh, Takayoshi Ohmura and Hideki Aoyama - worlds best drummer imho.
