The story touched me not only due to its content but very much due to the fact the writer was a hindu. Even now that I just read the wikipedia of this story tears came in my eyes

My father recited me this story in childhood, and I saw this here today. I am haunting 2 serials which were telecasted around 20 years ago. In 1 of 2, an old woman is thugged by a ferry man who purchases dhaan by cheating with scale, and takes lots of dhaan for small amount, and in 2 of 2, few theif come in a house of a village to steal money or goods, and while introduction it is revealed that they are from nearby woman village, and then woman call them brother, and asks her children to call them mamaji. By so much hospitality there, their change their mind, and leave home without stealing anything. If anyone has any link for these, please share here
