and we never actually saw him. he was the epitome of humbleility. what a wonderful humanitarian he was to donate all his salary to others. never got paid a cent.
Alan Alda and Wayne Rogers used to rehearse their scenes a lot to get the mannerisms and comedic timing perfect. I like BJ but these were the Golden age of the show.
