Some people think that Dior Sauvage is outdated, but this video is made for the people who still enjoy using the old Dior Sauvage edt.

This is the way I see the differences on two batches of Dior Sauvage.
One batch from 2016 and another from 2023.
We know it has been reformulated, but is it still good?

It's such a shame it got reformulated because I fell in love with the peppery opening of the original formulation

Ya, a lot of people are still using it.
In my experience in order for Sauvage to last all day you have to layer 2 sprays. If you don’t Dylan Blue even outperforms it on a spray by spray basis.

I always use 5-6 sprays when it's edt.
And even though sauvage may have been reformulated, I still think it performs well.
Different skin type can of course also always come into play.
But a really good piece of advice you come up with👍

I use it every day, Parfum & Elixir, one of the two.
It is both great fragrances :)
I have them both, and depending on my mood depends on which one I use. I may purchase Sauvage EDT next, but the low amount of fragrance oils on EDT that makes it last only a few hours, however Elixir and Parfum lasts all day.
@@TheStudderman Yes, our mood also plays a role in what we want to wear.
I really like the scent of all Sauvage.
But you're right, if you want to make sure that the scent lasts all day, then it's perfume or elixir.

It is so bad I'm literally looking on Ebay for older used batch! New batch don't even last 4hrs after 6 sprays
I haven't tried any batches after 23.
In any case, there is a difference overall, yes.
I personally understand if you want to go for older batches

This reformulation makes it suitable for office wear. Although you may need to spray a bit more. It still gets compliments after 8 hrs of wearing. Not all people will give compliment even if they smell you.
This is a comment I can relate to when we talk about the reformulated one.
Can you give a full detail on how much projection per hour and how much feet on the new 2023 batches
@@ika0552with my experience i was like 2 feet when i got the compliment. And it was from a stranger. My coworkers though, dont give me compliments even if i got close to them. And i got
Noseblind from the fragrance. I didtnt expect a compliment from a stranger after 8 hrs.
It's so easy to go nose blind to this fragrance that it's very hard for me to evaluate

@@Hassanzabit I think that it is very difficult to find the very old editions, as it is mostly collectors who have them.
But...If you buy a new one and feel it's not quite the same, wait a few months, it gets better and stronger with time

As I understand it, the first reformulation is from 2019, when the edp edition was released.
But, after the 2019 edition I tried, it still has acceptable performance bro👍

I've had it ever since, and have been collecting perfumes since 2011.
I keep them cool and packed away when it's the older ones👍
This stuff only lasts for about 3-4 hours on my skin. Terrible performance

Try applying a small layer of Vaseline to where you spray. Before you spray.
This will guarantee just a few more hours.

so it can take a very long time and cause complications.
I can recommend getting a sample of the scent in a nearby store where they sell it.
They tend to be pretty good at doing it. Especially in the US I think.
I will work on it in the future to see if I can find a good solution to be able to send without problems to the USA. Both so that I can send samples, and also so that it is possible for people to win perfumes in various competitions that will appear on my CZcams🙏

But many still like it despite the reformulation.
So it makes good sense to those people anyway.
Unfortunately, it is the case in many cases these days that many of the popular fragrances are destroyed over time, due to reformulation, because they have to make way for a flanker.
However, I personally get more than 4 hours out of the newer versions.

I'm sure edt will get stronger with time.
But I'm 100% sure elixir is powerful from the start and all the way through.
i just bought one smells like water with lemon dont buy it i regret it should have bought the edp

Now that you have bought the edt version, try to leave it for a few months and I think it will mature a bit.
Having said that, yes, it shouldn't be necessary, and it's tiring when you have to do that at times.

Has the Parfum been reformulated?
That's actually a really good question.
I wanted to wait to make a video about it, as both from experience and from what I've heard, I haven't noticed any difference in the perfume version.
So at the moment I'm going to say no, but since we've got the Elixir edition in Subsequently, I'm thinking of following up on it again later this year, and making a video about the perfume edition as well.
Parfum zero reformulations it's a beast 12 hours on me easy 💪💪
