After a couple of weeks of driving this car, I have mixed emotions towards its drive quality. The cabin is quietly luxurious, until you hit some bumps on the road. Road bumps can be intrusively harsh. There's that thumping quality to it which I find annoying. Although wind noise is effectively muted. I guess it's quiet cabin makes the harsh ride more prominent, or it could be it's 18" wheels. The odd thing is, it rides over brick-surface roads quite smoothly. 3 series ride quality is better.

im deciding between this car and the mercdes benz cla 250. ive already owned a cla 250 but it was recently totaled. I loved the drive it had and it was extremely comfortable. So basically I could by this car the 2013 version for 14,500 or I could buy a 2017 cla 250 for 20,400. my insurance check gave me 21,000. so I could pocket 5 grand with the audi and risk driving something im not in love with or I could basically spend the whole insurance check and be sure that im going to like the car im getting a few months down the line. Any advice??

My only tip: try to get it with performance biased tires. My all seasons provide a great ride quality, but are not sporty enough. They really don't do this vehicle justice.

True, in fact, I drove the Audi, BMW, Mercedes C and the Volvo S60. The Volvo drove better than all the competitors and was cheaper. Not to mention the fact that the deal included five years of free maintenance, wear and tear coverage, road side assistance and warranty, all for free.

Don't understand why people are complaining about the A4 using the 2.0T. Do you guys not realize the amount of torque being put into this car? 6.3s second for a 211 horsepower is very good. It's not that far off the 3 series. Plus the Audi has a better exterior / interior than the bland BMW and also you get the best AWD system in the world; Quattro. The pricing for the A4 and 328i are about the same, the difference the A4 get's AWD and in my opinion is the better overall car.

@molythro the A4, Beetle, Golf, A3, previous Gen Jetta, Leon and Ibiza are all built on the same platform. whether hatch, sedan or estate are irrelevant, that's just modification. VW became the industry leader in platform sharing for this reason. The current Golf, A3 and A4 have even more parts in common than before. By 2015 VW Europe says it'll have only 2 platforms across all divisions, which includes Bentley

They're both amazing brands in every model they bring to the table and they both stomp to the beat of their own drum. They were both built by two groups of peoples who are really proud, intelligent people to begin with. Of course that'll show in their work. Its amazing :)

The seats in the A4 look a lot more comfortable and stylish than the seats in the BMW 3 series. I can personally attest that BMW seats have underpadded seat bottoms (at least for my boney ass). The two BMW's I have driven (a 2011 X5 and a 2010 328i), both had rides that were rougher than I would have expected from a luxury vehicle. I'm sure it's mostly due to the hard unforgiving run-flat tires.

I do enjoy my A4 choosen among MB C class, Lexus IS250, BMW 3 and Honda Accord. A4 is the best choice. If we speak about overpricing then look at MB which has mixed leather and much duller interior, BMW and Lexus are smaller and Honda is far back in driving pleasure.

Im going to test drive a 2013 with 80k miles listed for $8995 tomorrow. 2 owner, clean title/carfax. Used to drive an A6 for years. They can be a bit expensive to maintain but honestly find me an Audi that runs that isn't worth $4k. Point being, id rather spend more to keep it on the road and sell it in 5 years for $4k than buy a Honda and sell it for $2k. Sure you're paying maybe a grand more a year but its to drive a way better/cooler/fun car and will usually make more on the back end. Worth it to me

Then the fuel pump went out. I heard it going out and told the dealer. They failed to fix it and it quit while my wife was coming home from work. I would only lease an Audi since the warranty is good for 4 years, but buying one? No thanks! I'll buy a Toyota.

The interior is a symphony of nice leather surfaces, nice soft padded surfaces, and hard-cheap plastics. The cheap plastics really ruins the otherwise well designed interior. Just wondering, and I know this car is no where near this class, how does the 2013 Honda Accord compare to this? lol

Audi. You can't go wrong with their history and design, ya know? Dodge, Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Nissan...Sure, they're old names, but they're overpriced. They'll spend half of what they'll charge you for it, and the design, technology and base of what you get without paying extra for nicer stuff is ridiculous. Cheap plastics, mixed leather, basic tech, just not a good build or performance quality. Some might sound cool or aggressive, but they're still cheap brands :P Audi's your best bet here

You dont' know much about cars and its evident from this statement. There is NO Mustang for anywhere near $25k with a supercharger. Error 1. Next, superchargers are on many expensive/high end cars because they have zero turbo lag which is considered unsophisticated in a luxury car. You don't want a sudden burst of power in a luxury car, that is what boy racers have to deal with. Finally, my S4 is faster than a 328/335 and....M3! Why? Tune + High Elevation SUPERCHARGING = Destroying M3's!

Who would cross shop this with an Accord? Just buy a GTI or a GolfR for $35k, they share quite a lot of components with the A4. It's careless that a 6cyl 3series with 30more horsepower gets far better MPGs. Audi only managed to squeeze 1MPG more hwy for 2013? #FAIL
