  • BC Inflator Leak - Easy Fix & Replace Inflator - 5 min Fix
A small air leak from your BC inflator hose connection is one of the top two most common minor equipment mishaps divers encounter (in my experience). This issue can range from annoying bubbles escaping from the connection, all the way up to persistent auto-inflation. With the proper spares and a simple tool, this problem can usually be remedied in a handful of minutes by the prepared diver.
This video takes you through the tools, spares, and procedures needed to fix this issue by yourself.

As a disclaimer, the decision to fix this or any other equipment problem by yourself should be done with the knowledge that the diver takes full responsibility for any outcomes.
    Safe diving!

Informative video...I've got to change an old inflator valve to a k-valve and this explains it nicely.

I've disassembled mine completely, exchanged an O-ring inside and reassembled it. Its no do difficult as it seems.

Hey, do you have a video when you did that? I was hoping this one was going to go in depth but it's just a end replacement. Kind of boring.

Hi...Yup, there are several o-rings in there, and it takes 2 tools to disassemble (and silicone grease). In my case, more efficient in time and o-ring stock to just replace the inflator unit. Being a dealer, I also get a good deal on them. Could also replace on the beach, then take home and refurbish to use as a spare next time.

Do you have any idea, what can I do with my BCD, because from the mouthpiece the air slowly leaking. I think the between the housing and the spring in the problem. I have a Seaquest Spectrum 2 BCD.

Zoltán Mányoki Service inflator but replacing all orings, or replace the inflator (more expensive option).

That explains the unusual transparency of some reflective surfaces on your videos. If it's not yours yet looks like your aim is well defined, half way there.
