Very awesome I’m going to have to make some you do great work
Thank you so much Bobbi
Lv him xo
Patty, I just love this Beekeeper! One tip you might want to think about when glueing on the foam circle on the bottom the hat. To avoid excess glue , you could easily join the edges using a small travel iron and a piece of parchment paper to prevent the foam from melting on your iron. Just a suggestion.
Thanks Melba for the tip. Awesome idea. I will definitely try that.
You are amazing. He's amazing, the hat makes me nervous lol
Thank Pat. I am sorry that the hat makes you nervous. It made me nervous when filming.😂😂😂😂
My daughter and son in law have bee hives to make honey. I have to make this for them. They will love it.
That's awesome Bonnie. My step dad was a bee keeper, I made this one for him. He loved it.
Patti what kind of drill did you use. I have tried to do holes into the corks and nothing is working out. they just keep splitting. If I can’t get the corks to work is there another solution for the legs so the gnome can stand.
@@bonnieparsons557 I use a Dewalt drill with 1/4" bit. You have to use the synthetic corks. You can use hair noodles with a 1/4" dowel through them instead.
@@PattiJGood thanks Patti. I will try the hair noodles.
OMG!!! How do you keep coming up with these!?! I want to do all of them! They are all so fantastic!
Thanks Gail. I hope that you do make some. It's an addiction. 😂😂😂😂
❤️👍🏻
You are the BEST!!! Please show us how to do a policeman and a firefighter as our first responders don't get enough credit!
Thanks. I am working on those. Coming soon.
Love all your gnomes, especially the beekeeper gnome. My question is could you do a Forest Service gnome? I would like to do one for my son-in-law. Thank you.
Thanks Charlotte. Great idea, I will add him to my list. Thanks, Patti
These are just so clever. Have you ever made a lion before? I think it’s a shame that they are an endangered species!😮
Thank you. I have not, but plan to make one.
Love your bee gnome. Did you glue the legs to the shoes? Thank you so much for all your videos you post. Love them all. You are amazing.
Thank you so much, yes I did glue the shoes to the legs. Thanks, Patti

Thanks Roberta, I got the fabric at Hobby Lobby. www.hobbylobby.com/Fabric-Sewing/Quilting-Fabrics/Cotton-Calico-Fabric/Yellow-Bees-Cotton-Calico-Fabric/p/109521

That's a great idea LOL.
Hi Patti...thank you for sharing your talents! I just purchased the commercial license for this little beauty and I cant wait to make one. I heard you say in the tutorial that you had listed the size of the netting in the description but I cannot find it any where! Can you please tell me the size you used and also, where did you purchase it from? Thank you!!
Thank you so much Lisa. This is like the netting that I used. bit.ly/3Y9p8W2
Patti I love all your patterns. Is there a way to print out the pictures of the items we are making? I need a visual so I don't have to watch the video over again once I know how to do them. I keep a book with all patterns and pictures so I remember what I am making. Thank you
Thanks Jean. Here is a link to the picture of this gnome. pattijgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/with-watermark.png Thanks, Patti
Hi Patti love the gnome bee keeper, is there a substitution for the net and where do you get it from?
Thank you so much. I used this www.hobbylobby.com/Fabric-Sewing/Special-Occasion-Fabrics/Net-Fabric/White-Net-Fabric/p/49907 You can use anything that is netting that you can see through. Thanks, Patti
Your so amazing there just adorable
I hope you can make a Soldier I'm military wife husband and daughter
I just love Gonmes.
I am working an an idea for a soldier. Hopefully will post it in a few weeks. Thanks for watching.
I love him you are so good do you ever make the BBQ pit for sale
Thank you so much. I have not make the BBQ pit to sell. I don't have a lot of spare time. Thanks, Patti
Hi Patti love your work so cute could you tell me the length of the foam for body thank you 😊👍🇬🇧
Thank you so much. The foam is 5" in length.
Hi Patti! This Bee Keeper is adorable!! When I go to print the pdf file, do I have it set at 100% to get the correct size? I never know how to print it to be the right size? TIA!!
Yes, print at 100%. Make sure the one inch square gauge does measure 1” after printing.
You keep getting better and better. I want to all of them! Maybe I missed it but what are the strips made of that you put around the netting?
Thank you so much Patricia. I really appreciate the nice comment. The stips around the netting are 2 mm craft foam.
@@PattiJGood Thanks for replying.
@@PattiJGood How long are they? I didn't see them in the patterns. Thanks!
@Patti J. Good I found it. 1" X 11" DUH. I can't wait to make this for a friend. It is adorable. I'm going to try to make a tiny smoker.
You can get silicone finger protectors at the Dollar Tree. They are pink. It has really saved my fingers. I've had blisters from hot glue. 🥴
I tried to wear them, but I can't work with them. I do need them thought.😂
@@PattiJGood yeah it does take some getting use to. But whenever I have burned myself it is full on blisters. So I learned quickly how to cope with them. Take care. Hope to see more videos!!
So cute! Where do you get the shoes?
You get them here. amzn.to/2YZaODm (they are parrot toys - you get 6 pair different colors
Where did you get the noodle for arms?
amzn.to/3eiX5A0. Sorry, I forgot to add that. They come in a variety of sizes.
buonasera sono una nuova iscritta . bellissimo tutorial e grazie per la condivisione dei cartamodelli. dove si puo' trovare quella simpatica stoffa per fare lo gnomo ? grazie e ancora bravissima
How do you drill a hole through cork and get it even?
I use a vise. I don't always get them even. If you have two that are off center, turn them until they line up, they will. Thanks, Patti
Which Cricut do you use?
I have the original Cricut maker. It works great.
Patty where did you get the Shoes? I have looked everywhere
Crystal, I get them here amzn.to/2YZaODm. Thanks, Patti
I love watching you videos and adore what you produce. Unfortunately, quite a lot of the Amazon link that you provide either cannot be found or the seller won’t ship to the UK. I want to make the bee keeper gnome and wondered if you provide thickness sizes or alternatives please. (Hair noodles, chipboard and what are a good alternative glue stick
Thank you so much. You can use a cereal box for the chipboard. The hair noodle you can use pipe cleaner instead.
@@PattiJGood thankyou for your reply
I didn’t see where you got the corks .. will you please list it , ty
I get mine from friends and family that drink wine. If you search etsy using this search term, you can find plenty. I use the synthetic ones because they drill easier. Thanks for watching. www.etsy.com/search?q=synthetic%20wine%20cork
I love this gnome project but I am confused about how large the patterns should be. Can you please specify dimensions for each pattern piece as I do not have a cricut. I woud love to make this. Thanks in advance.
Thanks Marlene. Here is a link to all the pattern pieces in pdfs. bit.ly/3aZAjer Just click on each and click download.
@@PattiJGood Thank you so much! I have printed these but I wanted to know if these are actual size or do they need to be enlarged? I see the gauge but that isn't helping me. Can you give dimensions. I want the hat to fit correctly. Thank you.
Where did you get the shoes
Susan, I get the shoes on Amazon. Here is the link amzn.to/3u73gzo
working on this gnome at the current moment and can't find the measurements for the skinny strips of foam that go on the bottom of the netting, could you please tell me what they are? Thank you Patti
I just used a 3/8" x 16" strip of craft foam. Thanks, Patti
Thank you. You are a sweetheart
What si zero shoes do you use?
These are the ones I used. They are 2.95" long and 1.50" tall. amzn.to/3I7lK8L
@@PattiJGood thank you.
hi i'm from Australia where do you get the little runners from
I got them on Amazon. Shoes - amzn.to/2YZaODm (they are parrot toys - you get 6 pair different colors
This might be a stupid questions but what kind of craft foam do you use? Thank you for sharing your talent for it's inspired me to try one :)
Never a stupid question, there are a lot of them. I use this style. I get them at Hobby Lobby.
bit.ly/3giE7sT. Thanks for the nice comment, I really appreciate that. Thanks, Patti
Thanks Patti can’t wait to get started.
They come in different thicknesses. I use the 2 mm size.
@@PattiJGood thank you. Can you also tell me the size corks you use for there is so many different sizes I’m confused lol.
I use the synthetic ones. They are 3/4" x 1-3/4"
Where do you buy your chip board? Please?
I bought mine here, amzn.to/3vMw4ee You may find it cheaper somewhere else, but I can't find it near me. Thanks, Patti
Patti, I'm making this gnome, what do you use for your netting please?
I bought netting on a bolt from Hobby Lobby. You could even use the netting that comes on the rolls in the ribbon department. this is what I bought. www.hobbylobby.com/Fabric-Sewing/Special-Occasion-Fabrics/Net-Fabric/Net-Fabric/p/TL55003
@@PattiJGood thank you
I also forgot to ask you if you ever made a gnome that would be a pool player gnome? You know a person with a cue stick . 5:07
I have not, but will add that one to my list. Great idea. Thanks, Patti
Hi Patti I have a question for you. Have you ever made a Green Bay Packer cheesehead gnome? This is Wisconsin football team.
I have not. I may make a generic one so anyone can add there team colors. Thanks for the suggestion.
Where do you purchase corks?
I buy them here www.widgetco.com/collections/used-wine-corks/products/used-wine-corks-synthetic
Thank you!
Where do I find the materials list and patterns that I can print out?
Lisa, you can see all of that on this page of my website. pattijgood.com/2021/05/06/diy-bee-keeper-gnome-no-sew-bee-gnome-tutorial/
Hi Patti the sgv file isn’t right on the brim of the hat that has all the tabs. There are several that totally get cut off so it makes it hard to put the strip in the hole to tape it. I do use a cameo silhouette and not sure if the makes a difference or not
I'll take a look at it. It worked on my Cricut just fine. What format does Silhouette use? Is it SVG? Thanks. Patti
@@PattiJGood it’s usually only when I go to send
@@PattiJGood yes it is svg
@@karenlouder2665 Redownload the files that say revised next to them. I made some revisions and I think they will work for you. There are two file revisions. bit.ly/2YOcgwb. Thanks, Patti. Let me know if that works for you. I really want you to be able to make him.
@@PattiJGood going to try in just a minute or so

the trim you are putting around the brim of the hat aren't included in the svg or the pdf.
It's just a 1/4" piece of trim. I just cut mine with a paper cutter.
