I remember when I put it on my Nokia 7650 (it had that little joystick), well i've got a case of nostalgia and have just dusted off my Nokia e90 and hoping to remember how I did it back in my school days. So good to see it again though - mobile gaming was already awesome roughly 15 years ago!
This was my dream back in the day. I have fulfilled that dream on the GBA and then again couple of years ago with Gemini PDA, which looks very much like that old Nokia Communicator, has full mechanical keyboard and Android operating system.
with the previous screen size was amazing play with it but with the full screen was a bit slow to play it, I finnist the game on the phone, and with a very good speed now the phone is almost broken, the flat flex cable was damage with the used
I've been wanting too see the way people texted in this phone. Can you you a video like that? Or maybe a video showing the important features of it. I really need to see it.
I just ordered this phone on ebay, and it should arrive in about 2 weeks. But the phone's menu might not be in English language. Is there any possible way to change the menu-language to English? Please, any help would be much appreciated.
+MegaBojan1993 No, unfortunately not, you can't change it. The only way now is to buy a separate motherboard which has the OS in English. Check if there are any broken English 9210s around? The mobo is really easy to replace! In mid-2000s there was a flashing suite for it and people even tried to flash the phone by themselves but weren't successful. And now that Nokia service centers don't exist anymore, there's no way you can change it.
SymbiosisSera So basically, whatever language I get, I'm stuck with it :( Oh well, thank you for your advice and quick reply. If my 9210 it's not in English I will still try to use it in it's foreign language. I will often consult google-translate for translating it's functions. With any luck, the unit I've ordered might be in English after all :) P.S. This phone is indeed a beauty from the past, and for 2001 it was way ahead of it's time.
+MegaBojan1993 Yeah, unfortunately that's the case if it's not in English. But let's hope it's in English after all! And yes, it's a real beauty and was a very advanced cellphone. There user interface was just the best, I wouldn't mind if some manufacturer made a model just like this with today's standards :)
+MegaBojan1993 Heavy usage like playing games: maybe 4 hours, but the batteries for this device are getting old so your mileage may vary. But on standby it lasts about 2-4 weeks (no usage, the cover is closed and the top cover screen isn't on) :)

The version of Doom that connected people.
Yep and those people communicated with each other with bullets, hahaaa.
Yup, doom can run on anything that has a screen and a processor.
i bet it can run without a cpu
Any chip made from 1980+
Indeed, not bad for a phone that first released November 2000.
Yes indeed, it's quite a workhorse for that time's standards!
It even has a color display, which was a rarity until around 2003.
The game you were playing reminds me a lot of Wolfenstein 3-D.
Jack H Well it is Wolfensteins son
FScorpion678, so Doom came after Wolfenstein?

Yeah, you're right. And yes, the flexi cable is always the first thing to break in 9210. Too bad.
I want a smartphone like this!

Hi do you have this phone
Nice 😍
Extra note: have you tried turning down the screen size and disabling keypad tones? that should make the game a bit more playable.
Yes, when you set it to screen mode 320 x 200 pixels (non-stretched), it becomes a bit faster. Keypad tones don't affect.
Looks like a mini laptop

SymbiosisSera Just a quick question. How long the battery lasts on your 9210 when using the colored TFT screen? Does it run down quickly?

How did you made the game brighter? You entered some key combination. Moreover, can you give us some useful key combinations for this game?
IDBEHOLDL = let there be light
IDDQD = invincibility
IDKFA = all weapons and ammo
IDCLIP (or IDSPISPOPD) = move through walls
@@SymbiosisSera Thank you. Do you know if the increased brightness can be made permanent?

Ahhh searching for WAD files with opera mini, over WiFi.
Over the horrendously sluggish HSCSD (HS for high speed lol) in Nokia 9210's case. You could only dream of WiFi back then.
