I like that you have the projector set up higher than most that do BYT. It allows your guests to be able to sit closer to the screen and have that immersive experience.

Nice setup i like to setup a cinema in my back yard too but here in ireland during the summer if its not raining we get a lot of rain here and it doesn't get dark until about 9.30 and even later so its to bright to see the image on the screen so it gets late before i get to watch a movie .From your video it looked like daytime with a very good clear and vibrant image projected onto the screen . The world cup soccer is on now but the games are on to early i would like to watch the games on the big screen but its just to bight outside . Thanks for the video and enjoy your movie nights

I invented this ...(kidding). I used to do the same when the projectors came out and were expensive too. DLP and LCD projectors changed them to small and portable. Now they have inflatable screens and one like yours. The enemy was the wind though. We used to swim and watch a movie. Best night was a scary movie and at the right time, my friend would run through covered in blood and calling out for help! I was guaranteed the couch that night!!
Love your set up, especially that pelican case. Out of interest do you do anything to keep your speaker cables straight and to make sure that nobody trips over them?
Bob Leon Thanks and yes I use steaks with a hook on top and bunch all the cables together steak each end pulling the cables tight at each end.

i use my firestick/tv or phone to stream the movie. i use my sony portable radio for the sound.
Could you please provide more details on the piece of wood you made for the top of the tripod to hold the projector? I just bought the same tripod, and would like to make the wood top for it.
By the way, best idea I've ever seen in regards to an adjustable mount for a tripod outside. Thanks very much for the fantastic idea!!!!
Used 3/4 inch plywood cut it on my table saw larger than the projector and found a nut that fit the camera mount on the top of the tripod drilled hole smaller than the nut and drove it in with a hammer then I could tighten the tripod camera mount on to the plywood . I also use velcro straps to keep the projector from sliding around.

Hey, Chris good video, very easy to understand, I am trying to find the exact screen you have you said Outdoor Entertainment Gear, but i did look it in Amazon they dont take you to that one they route to a different setup. Can you confirm the manufacturer with a part # or a source to purchase that specific one!!!!

Nice setup! One thing I might suggest to mack the setup even more portable, is to get on or two battery powered speakers such as the Ion tailgater, that way you don't need to carry around an amplifier.

how did you hook up the projector and the audio to tbe blueray .can u do it with a laptop?
Everything runs thru the receiver via hdmi which carries all the necessary video audio signal's, a laptop if it has hdmi can be connected to a reciever that have hdmi in connections.
Does that trip any switches in your breaker box after you turn it on?

Which yamaha subwoofer do you have? I got a budget subwoofer but I'm wondering if I need to get a more powerful subwoofer.

@@chris10077 That means the budget sony subwoofer sa-sc9 should be more than enough for my outdoor home theater. I accompanied them with klipsch aw650s as fronts and niles os 5.3 as rears and klipsch r34-c as my center. The bass from the outdoor speakers should make up for any lack of bass from the subwoofer if any. Thanks for your input. I was going to spend over a grand to get a starke sub35 but that might be overkill.

Buy a Sony party speaker and Amazon fire tv . get rid of most items. No need of messed cables and amplifiers.
Thats a bit Overkill. Mine consist of 144" screen. Wowoto h8 android projector. Polk audio soundbar with wireless sub. Super minimal. The sound is all bluetooth. Movies either stream, mini harddrive or USB stick.
TheBigb1973 do you get any audio lag with Bluetooth? I use my iPad, but I always get an annoying lag if use Bluetooth speakers.
