The original Toybiz release of this figure had bendable wire in all 4 tentacles.
Similar to green goblin, um doctor octopus here didn't actually appear in Spider-Man 3.

Very strange what they did with this figure, like the original Green Goblin it has less paint app than the original, then like Gobby where they took away the stand here they take away the posts to hold the glasses on and remove the wire from the lower arms it's a very strange thing to do seems like it took more money to change it and make it worse than to just re-release it lol

I have the original doctor octopus and the bottom arms have wires but they do close all the way

The original's tentacles were all wired. :)
There was another Doc Ock figure in the Spider-Man 2 Movie line that had no gimmick, where all four of his tentacles could be posed
@@sea-bee2463 just Doc Ock and the same height as this one. He has a darker trenchcoat, single jointed arms and all four tentacles have a bendy wire in them each

I have this toy & its badass.the only thing i'd change is the the joints in the claws & make them stronger.& the lower tentacles,i'd make em with wire so they can pose.its still great
Just some more reviews before I get to the sand man
When the spider man 2 line came out they released 2 doc ocks one with the gimmick which this is a re mold of and they did also do 1 with the articulated arms you can tell the difference between them as the 1 with removable tentacles has them in the box and not on him so if your gonna go back and pick 1 up i would suggest picking that 1 up as that 1 does have the articulated arms awesome review as always!
its a reissue. The difference is the tentacles didnt bend and there was a lever on his back for a tentacle moving gimmick

I have the very good version of dock ock from spiderman 2 its the one that you have to assemble the tentacles on to him and his coat is much greener and all his tentacles are wired, it really is the definitive movie Doc Ock idk why many people don't know about this one. You know what I might upoad a video just to show people.

I have that figure
Regret not picking him up. I thought the figure was supposed to be shorter. I don't really like the tentacle length; they're kinda too short to do much with. Plus the lower tentacle issue is silly. I would just glue the glasses on, myself >_> Seems kinda lackluster, but still an essential.
The doc ock that's from the second movie has the wires in all the tentacles but the version u have has better articulation.
I preffer it without wire. I feel is more flexible :)
These toys I believe were just a repackaging of the ToyBiz action figures released by Hasbro as Hasbro had acquired Toybiz before Spider-Man 3 but after Spider-Man 2

The original had a stupid gimmick (which seemed frequent in the sm2 line) where you could pull a small lever on his back and his tentacles would "strike". Mine didn't work and the pincers on the bottom two broke off easily and were extremely hard to pose in any way. Paint apps aside yours is a lot better. Trust me.

The only difference I see from this version and the original doc ock figure frm the second film are the glasses, the tenticles, shoes and height. The two bottom tenticles on the original had hard plastic inside so they always stayed the same, u cudn really move them, the shoes on the new one are a brighter color, the glasses on the new one has a different bridge and I think the new one is a tad smaller than the original. I have the original and I'm jest comparing based off ur review on this one.

the other one which doesn't have a gimmick is the "toybiz spiderman 2 doc ock with 4 bendable tentacles
The original Spider-Man 2 Doctor Octopus had the 4 articulated arms, but paint wise this one is way better. The chest used to look like a ken Barbie doll.
+Luke Best Plus, even though the 4 arms are bendy, they are separate from the figure, and keep falling out of the holes on his back.

Omnitrix 15 Hasbro purchased the rights to Marvel toys. After that Toy Biz tried to sell non-Marvel figures and it did not go well so they went bankrupt
pretty late for commenting this but the original is better cause the did had begs so the will attach to the head and all 4 arms all had the bendy wire

the lower tentacles is fail. i wish they put more effort in this figure, i want it so bad but just by looking at every figure of it released, it's not worth buying... just sayin ;)

Lieutenant Lettuce Exactly. Their literal job is to go through whatever they’re reviewing, finding something to complain about, and then stating whatever they needed to complaining about so the creator of whatever they’re reviewing can improve the next time.
