We usually explain in every video, but didn't this time. The winner of the tournament sets par. Every player on your team gets one point for every stroke behind the winner. Lowest total score wins. AB won so he got ZERO. Gannon was one stroke behind so he got 1. Vinny was 10 strokes behind so he got 10. We might discuss adjusting to total score, but we like this system.
@@kingchuckfinley Glad I could help! We are probably going to switch to a "total combined score" model. The results will be the same but it might be easier to follow.
Then he picked far better across the other 4 tiers. We want to put less emphasis on the top of the division, as every other fantasy disc golf ends up being about the top 5-10 guys. But if you have a suggestion we’re happy to hear it!
@@HoldMyBag don’t have any exact suggestion, I didn’t even know most of the people. But it felt good to get the winner right, but I guess it doesn’t mean much in your format. I think you probably are limiting your audience/participation by doing it this way. I’ve never played any other format. I play fantasy football and the stars carry the team. Winners sell, people care about winners. Just my thoughts. Appreciate you doing it. Might play again, idk.
I certainly hear your perspective. We enjoy this because it makes use engage with more than just the stars (much like fantasy football). In fantasy football stars are certainly critical, but you often win or lose based on how the full team. Figuring out your WR3 or what to do on a bye week is part of the fun of fantasy football and we wanted to replicate that feeling here. Hope you play again! The more we grow the more we will expand the prizes past just first place. Thanks for giving it a shot!
Just put up a poll to get general feedback on this issue. At the moment, we don't think picking the ultimate winner should guarantee you the win (especially not when they only one by 1 stroke) but we are definitely curious to hear more perspectives.
I don’t even understand how the scoring works.

@@HoldMyBag ahhhh I get it now. That makes sense now. I guess I could have put that all together. Pretty cool idea.

Doesn’t seem right that picking the actual winner doesn’t scale better.. 13 stroke win and he didn’t even get the winner right.

Stars should be weighted more, but picking the winner on first tier shouldn’t mean you win the whole thing.
