From 3:08 to the end of the song is the best work on the whole album. Not trying to take away from the rest of the song or album, but the controlled chaos during that two minutes and eleven seconds is perfection.

everything about this track is immaculate, the catharsis is palpable. the end of this song feels like you've finally triumphed over something insurmountable, crawling out of that pit that 'i appear missing' depicted so well. it's freeing, uplifting, inspiring, in a way that only josh and the crew can do. the defiance of "if i followed you, i would be lost too, that can never be!" - wow. the whole album is incredible, but this song will age like the finest of wine.

i listened to so much i appear missing in a dark period of my life. this song and "like clockwork" accompanied me in these moments. I triumphed and today made to parade is my favorite on the new album. your analysis is perfect

Transcendent is also the word I would use, looooove the switch to major key in this part of the song. Honestly I wish this song was more towards the end. Maybe even the album closer! You want to leave the listener on a high note at the end of the album, plus the fade out and Josh's "wooo"s here and there make it seem like he's moved on from the pain and despair he's lived through leading up to this album. Would have been interesting to if Emotion Sickness were the opener, given how both of these songs have a fade out. Maybe Emotion Sickness represents how well his life was going before COVID (healthy body, healthy marriage, healthy friendships), the middle of the album drags him down due to cancer, the divorce, so many friends dying, then Made to Parade to close showing how such is life and we can't wallow in despair forever. We need to move on to live a better life, and that's what everyone would want at the end of the day

That 2nd half hits hard. So far I'm noticing I love the 2nd half of all these songs more than the first half. Not that I don't like the first half it's just that they sure finish strong which will make me come back for more. Definitely not repetitive
It's like the first half is the premise, the set-up. And then they proceed to elaborate and continue the intricate story now that we've heard the introduction

Im the opposite. I thought the start of this track was slapping hard asf. The latter stages sound very messy and blown out to me.
@steve rainingagain I can appreciate that. I'm such a guitar guy that I think harmonies were building up pretty smooth towards the end. I'm hearing new things over the whole album with each listen.
Amazing. Old ideas that melts with new intuitions. The mid section chorus is kind of a reprise of the TCV "Reptiles" chorus.

This is the best album they've done since Songs for the Deaf imo. It's layered and crazy and beautiful.
3:09 when I first listened I immediately thought of My God Is The Sun when I heard “oh I don’t know what time it was” such an incredible song
My favourite song on the entire album. They are really good at producing songs like this. Previously it was I Appear Missing or Un-Reborn Again. In the second half I get a strong vibe of I Appear Missing, especially live version of that song, where they extended the outro. I'm sure Homme will have some fun with that solo at the end when playing it live.

true Queens fans know what i mean when i say there's always a little secret ingredient in each and every song that makes it truly Queens. in this song it undoubtedly is that super cheeky guitar lead at 1:05 . It's so perfect and infectious I've been humming it to myself daily since the album came out.

How can a band sound the same yet totally different often at the same time it boggles the mind
This song caught my attention from just reading the title for the first time, as a parade is mentioned in Kalopsia and I just felt it would be one of my favorites.
The lyrics are so direct and well done, despite the theme it touches the song refuses to sound like a downer and instead is very groovy, with the dance-e synth and a happy sounding guitar solo at the end which fades like if Josh was walking away, exiting victorious, or perhaps just accepting, understanding the world where we stand. It's so good and somewhat reminiscing of Villains.

On my first play of the record this was my least favorite track and the only one I felt was somewhat out of place, but after a few spins it really opened up and now I’m not really sure what I was thinking… that outro and guitar solo in the second half are just phenomenal.
yeah, I was also like that, but then I realised, like holy shit this is straight outta Lullabies! with a splash of Era weirdness.
That outro is an instant classic. Has a major vibe that Queens don’t usually do. Especially on such a dark and moody album. This is my favourite so far. And when I keep going back to it it’s crazy how different the start of the song sounds compared to the outro.
Have you even took a moment and thought what QOTSA is gonna do with 3:10 live?
