Sissy Spacek does that in every single one of her movies as a leading character. Except Carrie. If you don't walk out of one of her movies looking at yourself, then there is something wrong with you. It's the reason we love to tear her down so much. She forces us to take a really too deep dive into who we are as individuals and our relationships outside of ourselves. This makes her one of the best actors of our time. There will be no other like her.
dont exclude Carrie. I know horror isnt considered highbrow, but her character had depth and how often do people cheer for the "villain". She is amazing. I agree she is top tier
Carrie was amazing and it didn't scare me I felt bad for her 😢 so sad how cruel the world can be
One of my favorite movies ever.
Happy Birthday Anna Kendrick.
In The Bedroom is phenomenal! RIP Tom Wilkinson
She is so lovely ❤
I remember this film having a profound effect on me, as well. I think I saw myself in Marisa Tomei's character.....a good yet misunderstood person. And it FELT like a serious film that meant something beyond simple entertainment.
Anna kendrick 39 happy birthday
Mr. Right is my favorite movie ever ❤❤❤
When I first saw winter's Bone with Jennifer Lawrence I left at theater and I was so upset what a sad movie
Abba is fire
She's uniquely pretty
Such a great movie!
Totally relatable, but in a different way. I LOVE family films.
@Anna Kendrick = cupps pitch perfect
God I love Anna
Loved this movie.
It was my opinion in 2001 and still is now that Sissy Spacek should've won the Best Actress Oscar that year instead of Halle Berry.
Wonderful movie, In the Bedroom. So so sad
Pitch perfect
I absolutely love your voice I really wish you would sing professionally, you can drink beer and sing too
Very nice Anna. I love Oscar & USA 🇺🇸
I really don’t understand either the question or the answer. Maybe I’m missing some context? ❤
Yes, by "seen," I thought they meant the first time she felt recognized by the public; first time she achieved some small level of fame for her performance, lol. I definitely didn't think it meant the first time she saw or recognized herself in a character, OR the first time she recognized herself because of how she responded to a movie, whichever was the actual meaning of the question! (I'm still not sure )
My fellow Mainer.
Hey Oscars!
I will hope Mr. Wolf (from "The Bad Guys" and it's upcoming sequel; voiced by Academy Award®-winner Sam Rockwell) and Ruby Gillman (from "Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken" and it's upcoming sequel; voiced by Lana Condor) will host to the 97th Oscars® after Jimmy Kimmel and John Mulaney both turned down hosting gig on the 97th Oscars®.
We Support Mr. Wolf and Ruby Gillman for the 97th Oscars® hosts!!! Please, thanks!!!

Why lie about enjoying something. Even as kids
Thank You Anna (although you will never read this)
A female friend of mine and I were at loose ends years ago on Vakentines day. I picked the restaurant and she picked the movie. We went out together. Sushi restaurant. She 15 years vegetarian, me not. I ordered one of everything, enjoying her discomfort as I crunched through roe and tried to keep a solid expression through some challenging textures like urchin. I ate it all and she stopped nibbling her vegetables. Haha. I thought.
No.
She won. I was 26. An age when a fellow aught to be able to endure an excruciatingly dull and overacted movie for the sake of friendship and solidarity. I was squirming in my seat by the 7th or 8th hour and my friend asked if we should leave (she was loving the movie). I said no. I was not going to be beaten by a garbage film just because it was stealing precious moments from my future with every scene chewing syllable. The only thing that saved me was a cry of truest despair from somewhere in the darkness,"Is this ever gonna end?"
I was tethered by shared loss of soul and hope to that man that day. We survived. I never saw his face, but we share a bond no other person should endure. I like to think he continued in life, showing the light to others perishing in the darkness. A torch bearing guide...intrepid. I know he saved me. I am forever grateful.
What do you want Dana Cummings?
I've never heard of this !!
Carrie is mine 💀
I had a huge crush on Nick Stahl when I was younger. 😊 Spoiler:
Of course my dad cheered when he got shot in the face by Tom Cruise’s cousin.
Seems like she didn’t understand the question.
I think she answered it as in what she may have been going through at the time is something someone else may have also experienced, so she’s not alone because she saw it portrayed in a movie the way she was also feeling-hence she felt “seen”?
Actually she did.
When you say something made you "feel seen" it's something that you recognised yourself, or your situation in.
It is not asking her what film she thinks most people associate with her, which is what I believe you were thinking?
lol
