1000 BC DAVID conquered it.
960 BC KING SOLOMON built First Temple.
586 BC NABBUCANAZZER of BABYLON destroyed First Temple.
535 BC CYRUS The Great of Persia allowed Construction of Second Temple.
70 AD TITUS Destroyed Second Temple
638 AD Muslim conquered Jerusalem
692 AD Ummayad built Alaqsa At this location

A good historical account on Jerusalem. However, much history of Jerusalem, Jews & Tabernacle (temporary tent Temple for Israel(God given name of Prophet Jacob) & permanent Temple( Built by King Solomon, son of King David) …. When, how, where & why it was made as per instructions of God, what it pointed to and what is its future… all given in detail & can be read in Bible. Strongly recommended for deep study & then comparison with the World History & earlier Biblical Prophecy to see whether it aligns with it or not.

Dr sb Quran states Allah took His abad over a part of the night from Misjad Al Hram to Misjad Al Aqsa...(Ch 17 Aya 1). This aya is refering to Miraj. It means Misjad Al Aqsa was existing at the time of Miraj. Where is this Misjad located in compound? Existing gray colour misjad is built even after visit of Syedna Omar (ra).
Where is correct location of Misjad Al Aqsa refered in Quran and originally who built it?

Bible. I wonder if Dr Sahib has consulted & read in Bible.
3. It is amazing that Jerusalem being such an historic city ( before Jesus) & extremely sacred spiritually place, is not even mentioned once in Quran where as in relation to it Bani Israel/ Children of Israel are mentioned more than 40 times.
2. The place where the Dome of Rock is, underneath is the rock on which/where Abraham brought his son Isaac to sacrifice as asked by God ( Mount Moriah/ Mount Zion) and later it become the part of “Holy of the Holies” i.e. presence of God among His people. Very sacred to both Jews & Christians.
