Reaction Diffusion in After Effects (Time Blend FX method)

After seeing the time blend fx tutorials by jake in motion ( • CC Time Blend + CC Tim... ) and texturelabs ( • Create Mind-Bending Ef... ) I thought that effect would work nicely for reaction diffusion/the blur sharpen method and I couldn't find any other AE tutorials on this method with this specific effect..
