One year I did a whole theme on colour! It was so fun! We experimented with colour theory and shades! It was amazing!
Some ideas we have done:
We go on colour hunts
We assign a colour to each child and give a paper bag to take home and fill with items with assigned colour from their home and then we do a show and tell colour circle!
LOVE the idea of assigning a different color for each child! Yes, we truly explore color all year long. There are so many ideas - I barely touched on them all!
😀👋
You knocked this video out of the park, as you always do. It's a lot of work and time collecting the materials to demonstrate for these videos, but it pays off. I think your videos, content, and downloadable materials are so helpful to the preschool and daycare communities. You are a true gem. Thank you, a thousand times over!
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback!
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds, You are an excellent and inspiring Teacher. I am an Assistant Preschool Teacher but when I watch your videos, it's as if I'm inhaling in a breath of fresh air.
@@MayMay-gd9ge - I think this is one of the sweetest comments I’ve ever received. Thank you! ❤️
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Thank you too and stay beautiful!! ❤️💯
I use your website all the time. You have a fantastic classroom and give such good ideas! Thank you!
I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I'm happy to hear my resources are helpful!
You are so amazing! Thinking of working again in preK as an assistant soon! Thank you lovely teacher!
Go for it! And thank you for the positive feedback!
thannk you Sheryl! Always super educational!!
Thank you for watching! 😊
My theme for this term is transpotation. And thought of using the same idea of colour and shapes to create different transportation vehicle. Thank you for sharing
It's such a fun theme. We just finished it a couple of weeks ago: czcams.com/video/FWpU6YEFHTo/video.html
Awesome video! I'm sure you probably dance with colored scarves! One of our favorites! I love all the wonderfult ideas you share! Thank you!!
I completely forgot to mention those! They are our favorite and I use them a lot! I do talk about them in my music video, but wish I had remembered in this one. We've had our same set for years!
This has really inspired me
I’m happy to hear this!
I love the sunflower
Thank you! Our 2's class and our 3's class collaborated to make it last spring!
The preschool I teach at insists that pompoms are chokables. Do you use pompoms with the twos or do you limit them to the threes? For the record, I *love* pompoms!!!
Thanks for this idea of the Colour activities, I will do it in September.
Please, can you explain us: " TEACHING PROCEDURES, ROUTINES, RULES AND EXPECTATION during the first week of September??? Thank you very much.💝🙏🙏🙏
Good idea!❤
Check out my back to school video playlist. I talk about keeping it simple and showing them how to do EVERYTHING during the first few weeks. 😊 czcams.com/play/PLAcKXQXlMqKvc7iSYMKEGzZxun0ixwt9p.html
Here's one of the videos where I talk about it: czcams.com/video/mK9tEWO-i1A/video.html
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Thank you so much for your videos and time 💖🙏👍
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Thank you very much 👍💖
Beautiful materials and stunning explanations. I have got just a doubt, what is the purpose of the light table?
Another way to explore color. It works best when the materials are translucent, so that the light moves through them.
i love everything! do you have an affiliated link to buy the rainbow color holder? where can i get it? ty so much
All the links are under the video’s title, in the description area. (Click on “more”.) 🙂
Did you make the sunflower on the wall
We collaborated with the threes class and made it together. I need to update the photos, but this shows how we made a similar one years ago: teaching2and3yearolds.com/sunflower-wall-art-for-toddlers-and-preschoolers/
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Thank you so much!! I love it!
@@tammyrieckers3723 - The children had fun making it!

They do make jumbo pom poms that you preschool might approve of. I love using that size!
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Great idea, thank you!
