Another great informative video Shaun. We’ve had our Rebecca style villa on Sector D since April this year. We are so happy with our holiday home but we’re still learning.
We obviously did a lot of research before committing to it and your videos certainly helped us decide. Camposol is a great area with so much around along the southeast coast of Spain. We bought our property on Sector D because it’s out the way but it would be even better if it did have a local shop you could walk to for the essentials. The volunteer gardeners do an amazing job. We never get tired of the views. Have you heard anymore about the hotel? Thanks again.

    •  Před 5 lety +1

Thank you Paul for your comment - glad my videos were some help - it's amazing area to explore - still no news about the hotel, just rumors about it might open in late September but looking at the hotel the other day, nothing going on! Let you know once we have some proof on a open date. Many thanks for watching and have a great weekend :)

Wow sector D is HUGE, it doesn't look that big on the map or on google earth. Definitely needs a shop for groceries and a bar/restaurant for socialising, maybe someone will see your vodeo and make enquiries. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

    •  Před 5 lety +1

Thank you Hayley, all 4 sectors was to have the same as A & B plus a school, football pitch but when the money ran out these never got done which has happened on many places around Spain. Glad you enjoy the videos - have a great weekend :)

Are there any regulations around quad biking in Spain ? Noticed and recognised some of the streets in D we went too 👍

    •  Před rokem

Hi Yogi, very similar to owning a car, and it has yearly ITV checks (MOT) and some places you can't just off road like the Sierra Espuña and some places, you need a licence. Most people end up selling them :)

My neck of the woods! The dog on the roundabout is Lily. The Camposol Golf complex is on my road. It was only half built when the builder went bust. They were a small local family run company and the bit fenced off next to it is the bit they did not get to build on as the recession killed off the project. I cant remember their name. Camposol golf is just the marketing name for that group of houses the builder gave them when marketing them. It has nothing to do with the golf course as the golf course was built by MASA They planted all the pine trees over the road from their little development. The company that built them also had some more land on D which they never built on. It is below D35 and D34 and is very soggy and swampy and they tried to sue the council for selling them land which is unfit to build on. They lost the case. (The council had confiscated the land from MASA). There certainly are some amazing walks with amazing views in the area.

    •  Před 5 lety

Thank you Fiona for your information and it helps others understand the area. Hopefully with our new councilor, some of the other things may get done. Sounds like the football pitch on C may get approval but have to wait on that. Many thanks for watching and have a great weekend :)

      @LesD9 Před 4 lety +1

Hello Fiona. Long time, no speak! I guess you are referring to the SALADILLO Golf development. From memory, it was planned to have a small commercial centre but that never happened.
Thanks for the tour Shaun. The Neptuno at 13:50 was ours from new, but we sold up in 2017 when travelling down became too much. I was hoping you'd turn left, but you didn't!

Been researching moving to Spain but Camposol doesn't seem to get a very good write up especially for build quality. Is this the reason why property's seem to be very cheap? Any advice for first time buyers in Spain would be appreciated :)

    •  Před rokem +1

Hi Paul, most of the properties are prefab kit form put together, so less cost building them. Most are over 20 years now. Best to see for yourself because they are good value for money. Good luck in your search for a new life :)

Love the big camposol community. It’s a really big place. I noticed how you don’t see a single pothole on the streets. Very beautiful, you are making me go and visit this place one day!

    •  Před 5 lety +1

Thank you John, there is a garden group that goes around looking after the roads which is good. The developer didn't put the last top cover on the roads, which is still on going in the courts to get the money to finish the jobs that the developer didn't do but the roads are drivable!!!!! Glad you enjoyed the drive and many thanks for watching and have a great weekend :)

My wife said are you watching that man again in his car so she sat down and watched the video for a couple of minutes. Before she got up to leave she said she can understand why a lot of people choose to live on CampoSol with shops bars ect, but she is still happy living here in the Almeria countryside for now. Thanks for the tour Shaun you make it interesting with you're knowledge of the area.

    •  Před 5 lety

Thank you Nic, glad your wife watched the video - it's not everybody's cup of tea living here but worth looking if thinking of moving to Spain. Spains amazing place where ever you move to and I've been to some parts of Almeria. I want to explore the desert part - the parts they did in the western movies. I've been to Mini Hollywood but want to capture the landscape. Glad you enjoyed the video. Many thanks for watching and have a great week :)

With over 5,000 properties on Camposol, there are some with subsidence problems, most empty. That's why it's best to visit Camposol first and not buy off line.

    •  Před 4 lety

Camposol was lucky during the past storms - here's a link on the day of the storm on Camposol. There are a few more during those days - a Goat Fria can happen any where during this time of year and any place below will get hit bad. No damage but the community helped gather clothing, food and helped clean up areas that were hit bad - thanks for asking :)

    •  Před 3 lety +1

Hi Sandra, if you're on about work where I live, it's a farming area. Big towns like Murcia, Cartagena would be better for office work if you speak Spanish. Plenty of builders here and carpenters. Better to look at online work. Spain has a high unemployment and this covid don't help.
