The Dango M1 R-Spec Maverick wallet is definitely a pretty wallet. But is it functional? It holds up to 10 cards. 6 under the carbon fiber backplate and 4 in the front top grain leather pocket. Also, there's enough space under the silicone band to hold at least 8 bills folded into quarters! Your cards are RFID protected front and back, and this wallet is made in the USA! The wallet chassis is made from CNC'd 6061 aerospace grade aluminum with a red prismatic powder coat, and the back is made of carbon fiber. From the Dango site:

Just ordered an M1 Maverick Spec-Ops last night, ill let you know when it comes, pretty excited though, looks solid. Not gonna lie though, kinda regret not getting the red/carbon fiber, looks hot

@@ermal6157 i returned it after about 2 days, it was extremely hard to get the cards out, the build and quality was superb but it only held a few cards before it was too hard to remove them. I bought a Trayvax Contour instead which I absolutely love. Check out Trayvax they make a bunch of different minimalist wallets, theyre an American company and their products are excellent.

Just picked mine up. First Dango wallet 👍What sold me was your reaction upon seeing it in the case the first time lol and also red & black are amongst my favorite colors. Also picked up the chassis with it. Absolutely loving this wallet. Keep up the great work! 👊👍

Just recieved same red color, got the tool, got a red hatched band. And I got black rails. I see now in order to use the rails, you gotta discard the leather to make it work. I'll hold onto the quality leather, put it back in the box. Using the leather, Man, is it tight to get your I.D. out, but they say, let the leather wear & stretch a bit in the instructions. I see the attachment holes to add the big square stainless steel clip to the other side, I may opt for that later. This is a high quality, well thought out product.

I got my M1 R-Spec wallet today. I got the black rails for it. I found that the screws are easely stripped by the allen key. But, looks great! Love it! Can’t wait to use it.

@@ChrispyThings yeah...just the hex head...the allen key was turning loose to screw in the screws in 2 or 3 screws...but I could remove them...so I took 2 from the left-over screws from removing the leather pouch.

For people like us who carry cash N just 2-4 cards, i would prefer ( if ever i get to own one ) the Trayvax OG 2.0, Dango T01 spec-ops (Bi-old ) or T02 Titanium Tactical Wallet....Thanks

Can't decide from that or a nice and slim Titianum Ridge but i want that nice gold and black look :/
I did a review on the Goldfinger not long ago. One of the best wallets I’ve used in a while with the pen and notebook included. Is that something you’d need?

The M1 R spec is an AWSOME! Red color, it would look better if you customize it with the black rails and black money clip for a slick design, but hay that's just my opinion 😊👍

I would like to see these side by side an iPhone se and iPhone max. Just for pocket reference.
After about a year of thinking about it, I purchased the rail. I’m done with the leather or other materials as a method for storing cards. It seems as they break in, cards start to slide out, especially if I decide to hold less cards in that space. The rail seems to not have that problem. Overall, I loving the Danger Rail with the lanyard.

Have you looked at Lost Dutchman Leather ?
They have something called the Thin Finn and another called the Big Finn.
Both are leather and neither will expand due to the design.
Worth checking out if you ever go back to leather.

Yes you can replace the band. They sell them on Dangos site.
And not many come in red. Just the 2 rspec wallets that I did videos on.

Is there a minimum number of cards you can keep under the sliding plate side? Or do you need to have at least 4 in there?
Minimum of 1. The silicone holds it tight.

I watched a s*** ton of your reviews regarding the dango wallets and I want to pull the trigger on basically an m1 or M2 wallet but I'm having difficulty finding a phone number to call them because I can't seem to find their four-pocket leather black trifold to attach to the Maverick series wallets, help
How wide is the card window? How much of my ID card is visible?
So with this version I would have to order the multi tool separate from the wallet

As soon as I saw this on the site I wanted to see it with the black rails. I got the black rail wallet for Christmas since I couldn’t justify spending $60 more to get this with the rails. Chrispy, can’t you take the rails off of your rail wallet and add them to this?

Have you heard of the MouZie wallet? It looks like a copycat of The Ridge? Was wondering if you can do a review on it.
I did a review on a few Ridge knock offs. Im probably done going down that road for now. There’s just so many copying The Ridge that I lose track.

I used the Ridge for months. But currently I’ve been carrying the Trayvax Contour. Have you watched my best of the decade video? If not check it out when you can. I name the 5 best wallets of the past 10 years in it. Both wallets are featured.

Not sure why Dango calls themselves "minimialist" i had one of their wallets and it felt like i was carrying a brick inside my pocket

A little bulky
All the dango products are. I'm not sure why they advertised to being a front carry pocket. Beautiful design but it sucks because it is heavy
