  • Hello my Friends!
Recently, people have been requesting a video that features a variety of handpans, with only a play up ad down the scale and a simple tune.
With the availability and popularity of handpans now, I thought it would be a good time to release this sort of video!
I do not go into discussion about these handpans, but simply provide a visual and sound example of each one.
If you have ideas for specific videos related to choosing an instruments, be sure to write them in the comments below!
I appreciate you all and remember,

Thanks for your time to share this. I 'm feeling the nova gen 7, smooth, clean, balanced and harmonious. The echo was also similar and interesting with the dimple design and harmonics. Rav has a unique crisp sound and seems solid and stable. I thought the travel pan was pleasant and joyful. 🙏✌️

Thanks for showing that much different scales, finally a good impression i got that differs from all the other players i heard. I also liked the C# scaling most 😊 But what I'm most happy about is to hear a player who properly uses the pan as what it is, a percussion / rythmic instrument. Good technique and good understa ding of the pan as an rythmic instrument. Thanks for showing me that there are musicians out there who use this amazing instrument not as only a meditation, pseudo spiritual expression / everybody can play it thing. That might sound quite offensive , but im fed up with hearing the same patterns and techniques over and over again just with a different scaling. 😅

My son is gifted with his hands. He has no formal training but can pick up the beats to any song. I bought him a simple Percussion Jam Cajon Box Drum and he plays it everyday and beautifully.
I thought that this might be a better instrument and more versatile. I am leaning towards getting him a nitride pan but I don’t know anything about how many notes or Celtic , D vs C … Can you help?

I love it as well! I think all suite a different purpose. Hang have short sustain so fit more percussive playing style better than something like the SonidoDeMano handpan. None are really “better” than others, just a matter of taste. De gustat non est disputando!

Might be just me, but honestly after listening to all the other handpans, The Hang feels like a big big let down to me. Yes, they invented the instrument, but, all the other handpans have such beautiful timbre and unfortunately can't relate myself to the PanArt despite their nostalgia 🙏

Nostalgia is really the key these days with the Hang … but even that is dwindling with all the legal ruckus created by PanArt. And as far as their sound? I totally agree with you… I finally got the opportunity to tap on two of them at Handpan gatherings and I was incredibly disappointed. There were so many pans inside the main room that sounded soooooo much better!! Nope … no interest in a Hang at all.
