I just realised what he meant by people “giving you directions.” In the literal sense people are more willing to stop in LA and help you whereas in the UK we can be a little more dismissive/abrasive. But also “directions” in the sense that in LA, a place where pop culture begins, people want to manage you and pidgeonhole creatives a lot more than in England. Maybe I’m reading into it too much.

This is a good interview where both of them are talking. And the questions finally are different and not the plain same old how long have you been together, who influenced you...etc. and alex said himself that hes not good with talking and convos but he still does interviews. Some perceive him has being an artist on drugs, or a super ego cocky angry artist when thats not even the case at all. Hes just being himself. He said himself that hes always been just a lil awkward as a person but thats totally cool. But its understandable that he may look uninterested if he keeps answering the same old questions year long. And its always nice to have matt talk. im sure alex does not mind cause he’d rather just chill and answer along with matt like in this interview then do all the talking and neglect matt since they frequently do alot of interviwes together
this comment should be on top. and yeah i can't describe how annoying it is to find people assuming alex this and that(in a negative way) when he's just actually not at all smh
I am american and I love their lyrics BECAUSE they are "British". It is so beautiful, witty, and refreshing. I actually relate to them more than 'Americans' because witty, creative, and poetic are what I want to achieve in my everyday language and in general.
