I'm over rank 700 in online - still use my trusty starter chestnut Tennesse Walker.
My character's canon horse is the sorrel Suffolk Punch.
The flaxen chestnut Hungrarian Halfbred.
I don't care it's stats aren't as good as the rank 20 horse - the sorrel Breton.
And I disguise the palomino dapple American Standardbred as a chestnut by giving it a more red/neutral mane.
So many horses are available exclusively online đ I really wish they would integrate them into Single Player. Love your voice and enthusiasm throughout the video. Very well narrated, too.
love to see the riding horses getting some love. i adore the red roan tn walker enough to have him as a permanent horse online. and the ky saddlers are gorgeous, tall, elegant horses that deserve more appreciation.

Awww, I'm so glad you're releasing videos again -- you're the greatest! Everything about this list is correct, but it's especially nice to see the Kentucky Saddler get a shoutout. Whenever an NPC rides by on one, I always have a moment of serious horse envy, and always swing my camera around to watch it go by

The Chocolate Roan DWB is my favorite horse in the whole game. And honestly, it seems appropriate for Arthur, he isn't a rich man, so realistically would probably never be able to afford a highly expensive horse, but would buy the very best possible, and I would say as far as Stamina and alike, this horse is on par with the Missouri Foxtrotter, and almost as fast.
Actually, Boadicea (Arthur's original horse) is a liver chestnut hungarian half-bred. It was found in the unused in game files. It had a stat of 9 stamina, 10 health, 7 speed, and 6 acceleration. Someone had actually "uploaded" Boadicea in game (its on youtube) and she was quite a beautiful horse. I wish they shouldn't have removed her in the final game.
I can't help but feel she'll pop up in online at some point

I found this list really interesting! The inclusion of riding horses was a nice chance of pace. Personally, like you as well, the Chestnut Turk is my absolute favorite horse with a chestnut coat. I also love the Flaxen Roan Tennessee Walker (it doesnât get enough credit imo), I donât use it in online because I prefer breeds with better stats, but I love using it for the epilogue in story mode.
I love love love the chestnut Tennessee Walker but itâs so common with new players and all the npcs I like uniqueness on my horse lol

Absolutely lovely video! Thank you for showing love to horse breeds in RDR2. I'm more of a Dutch Warmblood guy and my favorite coat and horse overall in the game is the Seal Brown DW. Named him Lucifer and always have used a male Seal Brown DW. For my current playthrough however, I decided to stick with my female Chocolate Roan DW. Named her Kassandra after AC Odyssey's protagonist. Simply put, she's such a beast!
Love your list! Marengo, my main horse on my 1st playthrough, was a chocolate roan DWB. On my 2nd playthrough I fell in love with the liver chestnut Morgan but I can't bring myself to use one because their stats are so low that I'm afraid of it getting killed; I'm now using the seal brown DWB (named him Loki). And I've considered playing RDO just so I could get the chestnut Turk - that horse is STUNNING â€ïž keep up the great work, love your videos!

I agree with your thoughts on small horses, with the exception of the Nokota. Especially when I am in the mountains, I do enjoy being on my plucky little blue roan âSable.â However, when there is real work to be done, the chestnut Turkoman is my go to. Great choices you articulated and thanks for the video.

I agree with your top pic. The Chestnut Turkoman is actually the first horse in online that I actually spent RDOs on. But I filled my stable with other horses that I was impressed with (like the Steel Gray Breton and the mustangs), however lately I have gone back to my dear Andromeda. Especially when I want to ride around Saint Denis in my Summer Rose dress outfit.

Great list and well done video!!! My biggest issue with the chestnut turkoman and the red dun mustang are they're glitchy manes. Other horses manes move fluidly but this ones stick together and flap up in the wind in one solid piece. More noticeable during a fast galop. This issue is also present in the perlino turkoman and the piebald norfolk roadster.
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, yeah I know what you mean! I noticed the plastic looking manes but wasn't sure if it was really a thing because I'm playing on a ps5

@@iryan809 Only the red dun overo. The other horses with this issue as I mentioned are the perlino and the chestnut turkomans and the piebald roan norfolk roadster.
The Dutch warmblood reminds me of Arthur, and I quote your overview video for the breed "able to handle anything the world throws at it" and i,feel like that resembles arthur and the warmblood perfectly, giants with incredible versatility, courage, and bravery in the face of predators

The chesnut pinto Kentucky saddler is by far my favorite horse as far as coats go. My fiancee loves it too, she says itâs the best looking of all the horses in chapter 2. If it had a bit more health and stamina, it would be much better as an all around horse.
I donât usually care for chestnuts (aside from red dun, which is one of my favorite coats), but that turkoman was definitely the exception for me. The color is just so vibrant and fiery, and the piercing blue eyes paired with the badger face marking makes this horse look like itâs full of attitude and I love it. I also just love really high stockings on horses, especially on the back legs, as it just makes any horse stand out.
the mustang was the first horse I bought online! love to see it getting the appreciation it deserves

Danielle if you are into modding (Single player only) you should check out all of the new beautiful modded horse coats that are available now on the Nexus! I recommend "Realistic Cowboy Horses" & "New Horse Coats". The second has the option for brown or blue eyes on every coat color.

I do wish the Liver Chestnut Morgan would've made it online as it is one of my favorite coats. I guess the Flaxen Morgan will do.
I have to say. Iâm surprised not to see Arthurâs chestnut on this list. (I believe it was said to be a chestnut), that horse is gorgeous and has the size you hinted to liking. However overall, this was a wonderful list and I hope to see more videos in the future with other coat colors !

My favourite horse coats are any that are Buckskin, and John's Silver Dark Bay Hungarian-Halfbred Old Boy.

After over a thousand hours playtime & nothing left to do, i decided to explore all the horses in red dead online. And i found the best horses for me, its a andalusian, its fit to all situation for me (hunting, pvp, pve, facing deadly predator including the mighty cougar). I try all fancy expensive horse and didnt work well to me. Im Glad to meet ytubers that also love horses. Love u daniel â€â€

You really make me want to use a liver chestnut morgan. Sadly, I wish their stats were better and I wish they were bigger. I love Morgans, they have a very special place in my heart. Here, they're treated as just extra horse bodies to carry stuff :(

the morgan horse is one of the weakest in the game, but I use these beautiful horses from start to finish in RDR2's story mode, they are my favorites. Great video!
Is there any top 5 best white horses? Iâm on bad honor and I want a white horse with good stats since I got a black Arabian in my good honor playthrough and named her Eliza as Arthur after Arthurâs dead gf Eliza.
Iâm surprised you have the Chestnut Pinto Saddler so low. Always been my #1. Just wish I could get that coat on my favorite breed, the thoroughbred. I also favor taller horses.
EDIT: Iâm also surprised no Flaxen Chestnut. My #2.
I'm a bigger fan of darker chestnuts to be completely honest, which explains why the flaxen sadly didn't make it đ„Č

For those of you on PC who have no interest in RDO, there are mods for quite a few horses that changes their singleplayer skins for those in Online. That, and Rampage Trainer, is how IÂŽm riding a chestnut turkoman with Arthur in Chapter 2.
No matter what happens, I always end up on a big fluffy Shire horse. I don't know why I like them so much, maybe that they are so huge and have those fluffy leg hairs, but they are just great.

6 Months later and I'm still regretting not buying the Chestnut Turkoman. I bought the white colored one. If or when I log-in again I will be buying the Chestnut Turkoman.
I named my Chestnut Turkoman âCopper.â The Dark Bay Turkoman is my favorite horse in the whole game, single or online.

Still amused why they didn't just call the "red chestnut" arabian something like blood bay arabian :'D Then again they treated a very chimera-like coat as if its just an unusual, "warped" brindle variation so figures (that one might take the cake as my favorite bay horse not even because of the brindle, those browns are just so gorgeous imo)... you should do a bay version of this list. From the turkoman to rachel to some of the less used horses they have some *gorgeous* colors going on. And that's not counting the paint horses and appaloosas, just the mostly-solid ones. Add those and it'd be a much harder list to choose from đ
Honestly the morgan is stunning. Caught one after I ran off from the police in valentine after the drinking with Lenny to make my way home and ended up keeping him for a long time! Really wish this coat hadn't been on a morgan, as you said :'D Would have used it for way longer. Also *yes* badger faced horses are gorgeous! I think personally I might put the dutch warmblood above the chestnut turkoman despite it having a LOT of things going for it because the too-bright color would probably get tiring at some point (its why I didnt keep the golden turkoman for more than a few days on the first playthrough, and the red is even brighter than it). Still an objectively stunning horse tho, when I do get into online its in my bucket list :'D
Oh I'm definitely looking forward to doing more themed top 5s! And yeah, the paints are strong contenders versus the plain solids which is why I might split paints off into their own top 5 to make it a little more fair. Let's see if Rockstar throw some new horses our way first đ
I love your number one but the red Arabian from story mode is magnificent! By far my favorite Arabian coat. To bad it has the lowest stats.
I know a lot of people are huge fans of the Red Arabian. It doesn't quite qualify as a chestnut but it might make an appearance in the top 5 bay video. Too early to say though
@@Daneliecastsgames I was going to say. That Arabian is definitely a bay, black mane & tail, and black legs (even thought it has white socks). Yet, Rockstar had the audacity to refer it as a chestnut instead of what it actually is! I just can't believe Rockstar went inaccurate with that Arabian coat, if creating a chestnut was their main goal, why color the legs & mane\tail black? Anyways, in RDO, I currently ride a beautiful Buckskin Mustang named Lakota! :)
Unpopular opinion, but I love the Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker! (He's even in my pfp!) I know most people don't like the horse, because he doesn't have high stats like the grey arabian, but I think he's a beautiful horse, and a sweet companion to have throughout the game!
there was a liver chestnut hungarian halfbred coat that didn't end up getting put in the game. Hungarian Halfbreds are my favorite breed thanks to their lovely muscling and heavier set features and liver chestnuts happen to be my favorite color on horses. I feel robbed

I really wish you could obtain all horses in story and online đŁ I would love to own certain color variations like that beautiful Morgan horse đ I love the riding horses and I actually have the flaxen chestnut Morgan for online, her name is Gemma đ my favorite types of horses have to be the work ones. I adore the Appaloosa, theyâre so adorable and they handle danger surprisingly well. American Paints are some of my favorites, especially Javierâs horse Boaz. I always name him Bandit anytime I own him and he is one of the few horses staying in my stable forever đ€đ€ they are quite skittish though đ
