Thank you for the great tutorial and very clear instructions! This is the first video I've found that is so clear. I've been collecting materials for junk journaling and wasn't really sure how to proceed making the actual journal. I now feel like I can go ahead with some confidence, thank you! I look forward to the day its as easy as you make it look, but in the mean time, I'm looking forward to heaps of paper fun. Thanks again, really lovely to watch.
Wow, great tutorial. thank you very much and i love the papers!
Alma
Thank you You make me feel more confident!
Thanks Stephanie!
Thank you so much! This is my first kit that I have put together from scratch. It has a few imperfections, but it is together! Yay! I could not have done it without you! I love that for this, you glue in the spine and don't have to punch holes in the spine. Thanks again!
Congratulations Laura! We are so glad we could be a part of your first full journal-kit-craft! We hope you had fun and make many more! 🤍
Excellent tutorial
I love your digitals. I have bought about 30 and plan to use them when I retire in a few months to keep myself busy and out of trouble!
Yay!!! Two new videos 😄 Love y'alls channel and your digis are gorgeous. Love your sweet and humble voice Stephanie. You're precious 🤗
Lovely!
Nice!
Love all your floral kits. Gorgeous! I enjoy watching how you put this kit together. Congratulations on your new house and thank you so much for the tutorials.🌹👍
Oh boy you introduced me to another kit! LOL and thank you for the sewing refresher!! I was almost going to just use elastic
Best tutorial ever!!
Thanks so much! We are glad you found it helpful!
Excelente tutorial.❤
Super job !
Very nicely done. You make it look so easy.
I just found this channel and fell absolutely in love with the basic essential journal prints! I’ll be purchasing them soon to use in my personal journal. The neutral designs are very lovely
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are so glad to hear you are loving our designs and will be supporting our small business! Best of luck on your project and happy crafting! 🤍
Very helpful…thank you so much!!! 💜
Excellent tutorial for beginners or anyone who fairly new to junk journals. I love all the prints in this journal and would love to make one! Thank you so much for all your hard work. Great job!
Lovely journal. Thank you for sharing.
I'm sure the noise doesn't bother anybody BUT if it bothers you, there was an advert for something that you can download that is supposed to help dampen background noise...I absolutely JUST forgot the name of it!
I love this kit!! Thank you for showing us. how to create a journal cover and make the hidden spine. I see many old books have this original hidden spine. I really like that you take your time and explain everything so fully. I am excited to follow. along in the send half to understand your method for decorating the pages. Thank you for doing this informative video. XXX
Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial on the hidden spine. I am going to do one in the journal I am making now, which will be my first time with the hidden spine. Thank you for the freebie also!!🥰😍
Beautiful and it really helped me with the JJ kit I’m doing now. Thx
Hello! First and most importantly, I love your channel and have bought soooo many of your digi-kits. They’re amazing. I noticed you mentioned you use an epson eco tank printer. That’s what I also have and it does have a borderless print option. I wasn’t sure if you knew or not. Take care!
Beautiful kit and love your tutorial 💜
Wow! Are you drawing the artwork yourself? Fabulous!❤
This kit is adorable. Love the colors. I do not care for how that gap shows with your hidden spine method although using your template is a great idea (I have mine from your FB group). So, I do it a little differently so that the spine gets glued down leaving no gaps, no bubbles, no odd areas that seem like I goofed. It's just me striving for perfection in an imperfect world! 🤣🤣Enjoy your tutorials.
How do you get rid of that bubbled area? Would love to know how you do that.

Stephanie, these kits are just so perfect and girly lol. I really enjoyed your tutorial. I have to ask, though, are you making these prints using Canva? I'm just curious what program you use to create the base prints. Lovely, lovely job!!
Thank you for the kind compliments! We use Adobe Photoshop for pretty much everything we do. Hope this answers your question!
❤
Bello.. quiero el imperdible y no lo encuentro en la tienda😢
I learned a lot from your tutorial , thank you ..
BUT...What is the logic of your lined paper going *up and down* instead of across the page so it could be written on?
Hello! We have lots of kits with a variety of lined papers, both vertical and horizontal. Some like vertical for decorative style, and some like horizontal for writing. You can find all of our lined pages here:

Ich hoffe, das hat geholfen!
Would be great if pin to the top of the comments would be a link to your next video in this series
Hello! Part 2 should be pinned at the top.
I purchased the Cozy Cottage Junk Journal Kit. The paper that comes with this kit can only be used in landscape. When I lay the cardboard on the paper it goes past the edge of the paper. Do I have to purchase more paper to make the cover for this book?
Hello, are you trying to do what we did in this tutorial? At the 7:48 mark you can see we use TWO pieces of non-directional papers (the design looks good no matter how you turn it, there are several of these in every kit, along with the directional journal pages) and glued them together to make one long piece to cover the chip board. Let me know if you are still confused! Thanks!
Just learning - I'm a beginner and I appreciate your videos so much! What's the best way to ensure that you line up the chipboard covers and spine when you're covering them with paper. I just know I'll have them wonky!
We usually just kind of eye-ball ours or maybe use a ruler to kind of press them against the edge of it to make sure they are aligned straight (leaving about a 1 inch border, if you like measurements) then hold the loose pieces down with a candle or something heavy once they look right so they don't move as we glue them to the paper.
If it's a little crooked its not usually too noticeable, so don't worry if it's not perfect! Maybe for a first journal, use a "non directional" paper, aka a paper with a design that looks good no matter which way you turn it, so that if it's a little crooked it's not such a big deal. :)
I hope that answers your questions! Thanks for watching!
@@myporchprints-junkjournalt5340 Thank you so much!
Hi, im new to junk journaling and I've been wondering if i were to coffee dye the paper can i do that after printing in the paper or should I print to already dyed paper.?
Hello! We would actually be careful doing either of those things. If you run coffee-dyed paper through your printer, it could jam. If you coffee-dye printed paper the ink will most likely run and ruin the image. You could use faux-coffee dyed papers (we have several in our shop) to help fill out your journal to get a similar look. You could also try filling a spray bottle with dark coffee and adding some colored stains that are localized and controlled, so it won't ruin so much of your paper. But if you are working with a specific kit you really want to have that "aged" look, we recommend alternative destressing methods, like distress ink, wrinkling, tearing, etc. Hope this helped!
@@myporchprints-junkjournalt5340 Yes that was helpful, Thank you

Unfortunately, I can't join your Facebook group, even though I've already filled out all the questions
Hello! The group is set up to automatically approve or reject applicants based on our criteria. So you have to be a member of Facebook for at least 6 months, answer all the Qs and agree to the group rules. But if you apply again I'll try to keep an eye out for you and manually approve you. Thanks!
Hun, can you please post the link to that kit. I can't find it on your page. Thank you
Hello! All the links are in the video description. :) I'll paste it here too:

@@myporchprints-junkjournalt5340 Thanks honey
Thank you! You’ve made this look pretty easy. I would be inclined to glue the spine down. In my thinking it would make the stitching more secure.
