From 2007-2009 he was easily the best striker in the world. One of those rare players who terrified defenses whenever he had the ball and his partnership with prime Gerrard playing as a second striker in 2008 and 2009 was absolutely unstoppable. The link up play and chemistry they had was imhuman at times
Aside from the Salah, Mane and Firmino front three, I've never seen a foreign player worshipped like El Niño was by Liverpool supporters, which made his transfer to Chelsea all the more heartbreaking

Fans calling themselves the best and others the worst instead of being good ol sports and understanding that there are horrid Liverpool fans equally as much as there are horrid Man U fans. Same for Barca and real etc.

The first time I saw Torres in a match was at the euro 2012. He was something very special to me at that time because it was also the first time I watched a cup at the age of 6. When Spain won the cup I was really looking forward to the world cup in Brazil to see him again. But something had happened because he wasn't in the Panini collector magazine which made me very sad. And then Spain flew out of the wc in group stage. Something went very wrong with the whole team after Torres hadn't been part of it anymore. He was such a great player :(
