    The needs are #1 WR, #2 O-Line, #3 DT
The only problem the offense had was receivers dropping passes and in inability to get open. Receivers cost us 5 games last year. Hollywood will be a Chief for 1 year only. If Veach doesn’t draft receiver 1st round in this deep class, we will find the Chiefs in the same exact position next year.
Pat had to hold the ball way longer than a tackle is used to in pass protection. That causes holds and pressures. If a receiver could get open and or catch the ball the tackles would’ve looked better. And people forget this was Taylor and Smith’s first year with Pat. Wanya Morris, last year’s 3rd rounder looked just as good as Donovan Smith. Plus Smith is just $4M and a phone call away. I fully expect him to be signed after the draft, before training camp. Guard is much more of a need in this years draft than tackle. Joe Thuney will probably be a cut candidate after next season. Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith will be free agents as well. Trey Smith is probably on his way out for a big pay day so we will someone to replace him. IT would be good to grab a guy or 2 to learn under Trey and Thuney. Again address this need this year or next year but it needs to be addressed.
Chris Jones could stand for some help on the interior. The Chiefs also won’t have any DT’s on the roster besides him next year. A capable young long athletic guy would help. I’d prefer interior d-line for those reasons. Currently on the edge there’s BJ Thompson, Felix, Karlaftis and Danna will all be on the roster past 2024 and 2025. Defensive Tackle Position makes the most sense.
TE: Travis is 34, Noah Gray isn’t the answer and a bad blocker, Irv Smith is undersized. Day 2 If they drafted Ja’Tavion Sanders I wouldn’t be mad at it. Sinnot Day 3
DB: I think they’re good at DB. L’Jarius’ rise in 2023 was a huge surprise but he’s a dog, he will be missed. Currently I think Watson, Williams, Chamarri and Nazeeh will continue to dominate the way the team did in 2023. I don’t think corner or safety is a dire need at all. If a guy falls then Veach would gladly snatch him up. Probably 4th round.
LB: Sneakily we need depth here. Bolton, Tranquill and Chenal will be a top 5 LB core. But there’s no one worth mentioning behind them. Bolton is a free agent after this year. But I fully expect him to stay with the Chiefs. Tranquill and Chenal are locked up until 2026. Just something to mention.

I blacked out the decision to start Grbac

I'm 44 and still have repressed trauma from the Grbac debacle, lol. It didn't help that Gannon helped twist the knife even deeper by going and taking the Raiders to the Super Bowl.

I feel like guessing what player of need will be available based on mock drafts is a waste of time.
We all know they will draft a WR, O-lineman, D-lineman, and CB/S. Nobody knows the order in which they will pick them.

I want the Chiefs to either trade up to get a top LT, WR or Brock Bowers.. if thats not an option I'd rather see them trade back out of the 1st Rd for a 2nd and an extra 3rd
