- Preston Guy joins the Hunt Palmer Show to discuss the LSU Offensive this upcoming season. With Jayden Daniels being a dual QB and RB, is LSU going to be a top 5 rushing offense this year? Who will lead the team in carries and be RB1? We know Brian Kelly doesn't lean on freshmen as much as veteran players, so is that an opportunity for John Emery Jr. to step up and be a leader?
I'll say it again... he isn't the best or most talented or most physically gifted, but Josh Williams is my favorite LSU running back ever. That dude gives 100% on every play, he blocks as well as anyone, he cheers from the sidelines, he's a leader, he's nothing but good energy and a great example for the younger guys. SO many plays last year he was the reason JD5 was running free down the field. Love that we get him for one more year!

I been saying this all summer, they have to be more physical
They are already elite and consistently improving each week. Now scheme will be more different to help the running game for specifically the RBs. I think the defensive output will determine how balanced the offense will be for pass vs run plays. They will be more creative in the run game to compensate for Jayden Daniels not being there. Also don't be surprised if Nussmeier doesn't break some runs loose for nice positive gains.
They struggled interior because the Center was pretty badly undersized. He came to lsu at 250, he always got pushed backwards by NGs, now we have a 320 LB Center, the interior running should be much better
If he can stay healthy, he’ll probably have a spot in the NFL.😊
