for some context: ylvis are 2 brothers (guy with curly hair is vegard and the guy with straight dirty blonde hair is bård, said like bored ) and the 3rd guy in the video with long very blonde hair is named calle and he is their friend and frequent collaborator in many things including their talk show (he was a sidekick while the brothers were hosts) which this song (and all of their english songs and more were made for) was made for.

Massachusetts, the first state to legalize gay marriage. The song is not really made for the American public, but for Ylvis' fans in Norway. There are lots of internal jokes from their shows in the lyrics. And the lyrics might sarcasticly honor the states achievements in gay rights. But there is more to Massachusetts than we Norwegians know, of course. So please enjoy it as a tribute❤
