    Finally some clarity on the 2-1 nap transition for me, I love how you explained why it's so important to wait till they're resisting naps for a long time, this helps a lot!

    I literally can’t tell you how perfect this video is for my current situation. We went through the sleep training process when our first born was 5 months old (she is now 4 years old) and our second born at 5 months old and she is now 7 months. She currently is transitioning from the 3 to 2 naps a day. My family and I will be forever grateful for all of your videos and all of the education you have provided us. Our 7 month old goes to bed at 6pm and wakes up at 6 am and our 4 year old sleeps from 7pm to 7am all thanks to you!

    This video is so unbelievably helpful! I've been stressing so much about pushing my boys awake time so I'm glad you've also made a video about over tiredness.

    Thanks for this video. If my baby wakes up at 6am the one morning and 6:30am the next, would I still keep the first nap at 9am? Or adjust it accordingly? Or for instance if she wakes up from 2nd nap at 3pm instead of 3:30, would Bedtime still be 7pm? Or should I make it 6:30?

    Does the 12m sleep regression relate to 12-13m? Last 2 weeks off and on my toddler has been varying wake up times and skipping a nap each day then taking both naps like in past then sleeping 2hr and 1 hr nap then 2 days of skipping a nap again. Yesterday and today i was trying to do the 2 hour mid nap nap thinking a 1 nap was needed since most youtubers say most days of 2 weeks its time, but both days he slept 1 hour then skipped the 2nd nap so we put him to bed at 6pm instead of 7pm and this morning instead of his latley 5am waking he slept in until 730am (besides a small 2am wake where i gave some water but now learned to stop hes not hungry he needs some soothing back to bed). So im giessing i should go back to our 2 naps and try to aim for 7am and 7pm up and down with around 10am 1hr nap and 2pm 1 hr nap. If he sleeps 2 hrs on 1st nap and skips 2nd nap what do i do? Also do you have a vidoe or a recommended video on wake time hours best for this age and best schedule set up to guide? Thank you

    So you'd stick to a clock schedule even if your baby is dealing with short naps and early morning wakings? Like, if your baby is waking 5 AM and not going back to sleep... do you leave them in bed til 6:30 and still do schedule naps even if they're 30 min?

      What did you end up doing? We are having this issue as well

      @montymython754 did not do a clock schedule. Look up Little Zs. They have a lot better tips for navigating nap transitions

    How about very young (18w old) baby who is always stretched really far in daycare? My son can fall asleep independently. But in the daycare, he can't keep the age recommended schedule due to the environment. That makes the nap really wired for us at home. If we try 3 naps, he seems not tired enough to fall asleep. If we stretch him and do two, he may have a really long nice nap, but then there is no room for a third nap. But he is tired, cranky very early approaching the bedtime...Not sure how to have a better weekend schedule...Or just suck it and wait until he officially can handle two😭😭😭😭

      If he is in daycare, I suspect the only thing that will address this issue once and for all is time. As he grows a little bit older, he should be able to tolerate those longer wakeful periods. Hang in there, because he’s probably only a couple of short months away from thriving a bit more in that environment.

    So I slept trained my baby with your book and now she is 5 months and a half and it’s taking her like 20 min to fall sleep for her first nap and the 3rd one I don’t know if she needs the transition, a question? Why you always talk about the baby waking up on their own and not waking them up??

    • @Babysleeptrainer
      @Babysleeptrainer  Před 2 lety

      I’d try nap three from 3:30 ending no later than 4 and see if that helps. Check the 3 to 2 nap transition that’s linked in the description for more information.
