I have known both of these two luminous souls for over thirty-five years, going back to our time in Chicago. You know how you feel when good things happen to great people? This is that, times ten. It literally couldn't happen to two more deserving people, this success.
May they both serve as an inspiration to everyone in the entertainment industry, in from of the camera and behind, that you don't have to sell your soul to reach dizzying heights--you just need to keep the faith and be ready when Opportunity knocks, as they both so clearly were!
Great movie and an amazing role
The only thing you need is to do is work harder than others and be lucky, by lucky is to wait if you have the chance to get your success because you're not the only desperate one here, the Hunger Games everyone is trained and ready but now they have to leave it to this hope and one person leaves as a winner. Life isn't easy, this saying "you can do anything you set your mind to" is so naive life isn't a fairy tale where your dreams come true, it's a place where you're not the only one with a dream, more people have failed than sussed. I know a woman who went to collage for YEARS, worked hard and thought she'd be an employee for the rest of her life but no, something happen and she failed lost a career and lived without her success, Paul raci and his wife wasn't the only ones desperate..... probably THOUSANDS of people audition and ONE person got the role and this saying "YoUrE DreAmS CaN CoMe TrUe" because that's on THEIR perspective. You can just achieve it is you work harder than others and be the first one the reach the top while others failed.
I'm not saying give up on your dreams, just think twice before entering the industry.
40 years of acting, and this is first nomination. Kudos to Mr. Paul Raci
His performance is magnificent in Sound of Metal. Super potent.
Watching him in The Sound of Metal and obviously he's fluent in sign (which often doesn't happen in movies) so had to look him up. 🤔
