  • I found this beautiful tomahawk steak in sale. It didn't fit in my carbon steel skillet. It was also winter time, so I didn't want to use my charcoal grill. Those would be my number one choices. I decided to try my old trusty OptiGrill XL. In my honest opinion - it's not the best way to cook it, but the result was still good enough. If the weather is poor and you need to cook inside - try OptiGrilled tomahawk. Cooking is super clean. The grease is not spilling around the kitchen.
    Recipe:
    Tomahawk steak
Cook in OptiGrill in desired temperature. You can use thermometer or just look from OptiGrills color indicators.
    Seasoning:
Eyball some salt and thyme. Let rest for 10-15min.

I'm trying it, one good thing of this grill is that it does not make a lot of smoke and the kitchen does not turn into a sticky oily mess.

Why haven't you put the slices of butter at the beginning of the cooking, but later on? Thanks
