- This video covers all the main guitar parts to Dickey Betts' instrumental masterpiece, "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed." I go over both Dickey and Duanes guitar parts, as well as an alternative harmony part and Dickey's guitar fills from later versions. Once learned, you should have everything you need to play this instrumental tour de force.

RIP Dicky Betts! Thank you for SO much incredible Music!
1973, I was sixteen years old and owned a $600 1964 4 door olds with a 8track player. Riding the back roads of alabama with this song playing over and over. Can still recall how the music moved me all those years ago .
When we're young, music touches something in us that nothing else can quite reach. That touch endures throughout our lives and dims very little, if at all.
thank you for your masterpieces Dicky. Thankfully we have your music now that you've left us. You were a master guitarist and a master song writer and I personally thank you.
Love your ABB lessons. They are the best. By far.
Brilliant, clear and concise demos and explanations of all the techniques on my favorite Allman Brothers composition. Thank you very much and definitely looking forward to the solos!
This lesson is amazing! Great detail and capturing all the nuances! Really appreciate your deep dive into this to get it right! Love the song! Thanks for posting!
Great lesson. Easy to follow even for a 66 year old. First tried to learn to play this in 1974 but never got it right. Thank you.
Fantastic lesson - loving all of your ABB videos and hope to see more soon.
THANK YOU! You got me through my keyboard part on this - particularly with the opening theme.

Loved your videos and the great content you put out, it makes want to go an play. I wonder if you could make a video on running on empty by Jackson Browne??
Great job explaining a great song. Thank you
Fantastic lesson, this song is the reason I wanted to play guitar.
Where can I find printable tabs? Thank you
please teach clumberland blues Rythmguitar
Thereâs a chord Duane uses when Gregg is ending the organ solo that he descends with and comes back up and uses it tokinda escalate into his own solo and I canât distinguish if itâs a barre chord or what, but if you might have any insight into it I would greatly appreciate it.
Awesome. Thanks! Will you take a go at Duaneâs Liz Reed solo from At Fillmore East? đłđ°đ
I've transcribed that entire solo, however, I'm choosing to do something different. I'm going to do a "Solos" lesson, but instead of doing complete solos, I'm going to pick many licks/phrases from the various solos.
@@WeepingWillowGuitarLessons That would be amazing! đ€
