I have a degree in education and the primary challenge is to explain complex concepts in a simple, understandable way. It's not easy, but Dan is very good at it!
Most full or 100% synthetic motor oils consist of C20-50 hydroprocessed/engineered base oils. Higher[est] performance oils will blend in 25-50% PAO like 1-decene or octadecene. It's impossible to evaluate synthetic brands bc trade secrete chemical formulas are not disclosed to [non-chemist] consumers. Thus, the testing, which Amsoil stresses, can show the protection performance of an engine oil.
Dan, thank you for your videos! They are very informative and help enthusiasts like me learn new information.
Well said, Dan. For a moment there you went a lil deep, but you came back around.
This video was awesome!
Phenomenal lecture very informative very entertaining learned a lot I could listen about Amsoil all day from you best oil on the planet thanks brother
Thanks.
That comment was uncalled for.
Redline is 45% esters and 50% PAOs. It's a mix, just like Amsoil Signature Series.

Mr. Dan
Can you run the XL 10w30 and you'll do 350 Chevys
Redline directly competes with Amsoil Signature Series. They both have bases of PAO and Esters and additive packages are similar.
12 years later, besides mobil 1 platinum extended, any oil come close to the Signature series in 2024?😂

Sounds like Redline to me.
Hello amsoil, i have a question, if i use signature series for example, i didnt reach 20,000miles in 1year period then i reach 20kmiles for 2years...where do i base my drain interval?
Notice he won't mention pennzoil. It's made out of natural gas. My opinion pennzoil is better. Ferrari all of the top automotive industries use it. Chrysler uses it. Also it's better for the environment.
Motul is almost a pure Ester.
IS ANYBODY LISTENING, WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS IS A MOTOR OIL THAT CLEANS YOUR ENGINE!!!! Everybody makes engine cleaners and oil stabalizers. Give us oil that cleans. OR I'LL MAKE IT MYSELF.
