ザ・ハイマーツ、今作はタイトなビートにルイズルイス加部直系のうねるベース、そしてキラーなファズギターが鳴り響くガレージGS! グループ・サウンズはもちろん、60sガレージ・パンク、ポップスからの影響も垣間見えるオリジナル曲に、ネオGSレジェンド、ザ・ファントムギフトの名曲「ハートにOK! 」、60sガレージ・クラシックで内田裕也もカヴァーした「ラン・ラン・ラン」カヴァーの3曲を収録。
Official video for the Highmarts' first single, “I Want You Bad.”
The Highmarts are formed in Tokyo in 2013, 3 young girls are continuing the tradition of Japanese garage rock. Taking inspiration from the 60s ‘Group Sounds’ through to 70s punk, the Highmarts will outdo all the boys with their primitive fuzz guitar sound.
The first single, “I Want You Bad” was released on 29th, May. They covered the '80s Group Sounds-classic, The Phantomgift's “Frantic Heart's Okay!” and the Gestures' “Run Run Run”(Yuya Uchida who is the king of Japanese rock'n' roll covered the song and the Highmarts covered by his version.)
