I lived in a home on 3rd Ave in the 40's. I could walk to town. My first year of high school was the first year of Chula Vista High School at Brown Field. I have wonderful memories of living there.
I was born in Chula Vista. It’s weird ‘looking back’ to 1994 because it doesn’t seem so long ago for me. Present day Chula Vista is what seems strange to me. But, such is age - time passes so fast.
1988 born commenting here. My parents moved us to CV in 2002. I went to Chula Vista High School! I now live in Mira Mesa, but I wouldnt mind moving back to settle.
@@rocketdog2723 It is certainly expensive. One just has to make sure they do the due diligence in their financials and consider all inclusive costs for owning a home (even with inflation over the years) with a buffer. It can be done, just matters how much you want it.
Should of called it a couple people from Chula Vista...not too informative about Chula Vista. I was born in San Diego I grew up in Chula Vista. My Dad had a few houses on J street, 2nd Ave, and DelMar, I loved that place...
It was Clean and Calm now because of gangs and homeless people Chula Vista has become a shit hole (The West Side Of Chula) Like for example look at Palomar and Broadway The Park behind Walmart is now close because of homeless people And the apartments around the area is full of trouble makers, I personally feel unsafe

We visit CV often, have family there on Oaklawn Ave..., and still hear the train at 2am every morning ringing its bell...I love the place...:)
In 1994 you could afford rent or housing easily now you need to be a doctor or business owner to afford housing.

All the new businesses opening up. Where are they going to find employees? Current businesses can't even find workers.

Funny they don't mentioned the homelessness or the high cost of living. 🤔
