  • Hello guys,
    Another week, another trip report. Well, more of a "how to".
    Today I am showing you how to get from DUS Airport do Düsseldorf city.
    The easiest, fastest and most interesting way to do this is with the skytrain and Deutsche Bahn!
    Yes, there is an underground S-Bahn station IN the Terminal but then you canr ride the suspension rail 😋
    Route: From DUS Terminal to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof
    Duration: around 20 minutes
    Trains: Skytrain (Suspension Railway) and S-Bahn.
    Hope you like the video! 😎

      Hi, thats a very tough question. I need some more information from you. How old are you? Are you a student/senior? Will you travel 5-10 times every month ore just for one month? Which time will you travel? in peak times in the morning ore in the middle of the day? The german ticket system for local carriers is .....terrible!

    What is best way to travel from Dusseldorf airport to Duisburg hbf. Also where can i purvhase ticket for skytrain at the airporr

    • @Reens-Rails
      @Reens-Rails  Před 9 měsíci

      There are constructions going on between Düsseldorf and Duisburg at the moment. This will probably end on oct. 13th. The only option I could find are the S-Bahn trains. Otherwise there will be busses replacing the rail service.
      If the construction is done, there will be lots of RE trains again.
      You can purchase tickets at the airport. But if you buy a ticket for a train going from DUS, the fare for the skytrain is included. The easiest way to purchase is to download the DB app and create an account.

    Hi iam going to Dusseldorf for a week and have to travel Duisburg to Dusseldorf every day to and fro. Kindly advise which ticket to buy on daily basis.. Confused looking at DB app

    • @Reens-Rails
      @Reens-Rails  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yeah, the local fares are something else.
      Sadly, there is no 7 days pass. The best option is to buy a "Deutschlandticket" for 49 Euro if your trip is within a month. This is a subscription but you can cancel it right after you bought it and you have the freedom to take every train (except highspeed) in Germany

      Hi, no you don`t have to as long as your Semesterticket is valid in North Rhine Westphalia.
      The Skytrain is part of the public transport system.

    • @Reens-Rails
      @Reens-Rails  Před 2 lety +2

      I would love to. The first thing you need to do is to download the App "DB Navigator". Its our nationwide mobility app for trains, trams and busses. There you can buy the 9-Euro-Ticket for July. Its a national railcard for public transport (no highspeed trains included). Could you tell me which time you are landing? Would be easier for me to give you an advice. There are plenty of routes available.

      @@epicplayer2764 Ok, so, the quickest way would be: 5:32 plattform 4, RE 1 to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (arrival 5:37 on platform 16). There you have to change to platform 4 to get the RE 13 at 5:48 towards Venlo. Arrival in Mönchengladbach at 6:11. But 32 min. from landing to the Airport station can be a bit tight, so my suggestion plan b would be: 5:57, platform 6, RE 6 to Neuss (arrival 6:23 on platform 4). Change to platform 7 to get the S8 at 6:29 to Mönchengladbach. Arrival 6:46.
      Hope that helps. Enjoy your time in germany!

      @@Reens-Rails ciao...posso chiederti un info? Sabato arrivo all'aeroporto di düsseldorf dus e dalla stazione ferroviaria dell'aeroporto ho un treno per koblenz. Ma dagli arrivi per raggiungere la stazione dell'aeroporto (che dovrebbe essere abbastanza vicina) devo prendere questo skytrain? E devo pagare un biglietto ulteriore o vale già il biglietto del treno che devo prendere? Grazie
