I love the new studio and it really makes you guys feel like a high budget tv talk show now, but as nice as the second camera angles look I think they take away from your traditional podcast feeling as when one person is talking we can't see the reactions from the guys out of the shot which is a little distracting, other than that though nice jobs guys!
I've got to say very rarely does someone, let alone a group, stay true to their roots after success. You guys are some of the few who did. This show's heart and soul are still exactly like they were the first episode. Wish you guys all the best
Congratulations guys, the new studio looks amazing! I would like to echo what some people have expressed in the comment section of this video though, and it's regarding the cutaways. I much prefer the single wide shot over the cutaways for this show.
Seeing the reactions on someone's face when Greg says something absurd (which is quite regular!), or the little looks to camera that Tim often gives, etc., can be lost when we have a close-up of the person talking, and it's these little things that make the show so great. Anyway, hope it's something you consider, and congratulations again!!
Fantastic episode. Been here since the Conversation with Colin about ants, and am so proud of these guys for going all in on Kinda Funny. They've climbed a mountain and will climb many more in their future :)
The new studio is beautiful. Congratulations, everyone. You've worked your asses off these past two years and you deserve it. With that said, I have to echo the sentiment shared by majority of the comments: please keep the permanent wide shot, at least for this show. While I understand why you would want to use it (it helps give the show an added touch of production value), and while I will admit that it looks really nice, it kind of kills what makes this show in particular so fun to watch. Oftentimes what I find funny in this podcast isn't what is being said, though you are all very funny, but rather the little nuances in the facial expressions and glances towards the camera. When you constantly cutaway to half of the table, you lose what I feel is a very important element in the show. Still, I get that you guys are finding your bearings, but I figured I'd throw my two cents in there. What you're gaining in production value you're losing in personality.

Everything is great!!! I only ask that you please get rid of the cutaways. This is my sole complaint because I feel as though I'm missing out on whom ever isn't being shown. I enjoy the fact that this show is a garbage truck on fire and I would hate for it to be extinguished by overproduction. Kinda Funny is easily one of my favorite channels and I wouldn't want it to lose its authenticity. Keep it simple!!! :)

I have a solution to the no Portillo / Lola issue: two small TV or computer monitors that Greg and Colin will hold in their laps, which are connected to Skype in order to livestream both pups. BOOM. Problem solved
Awesome studio, not a fan of the cut aways though and the camera needs to be zoomed in just a little
Although the cutaways look very professional, it kinda ruins what i liked about the permanent wideshot: being able to look at everybody's individual reaction during especially funny moments. Now granted, by doing cutaways the KF Crew (or i guess Kevin since he's the editor, or whoever else is helping out with it) are able to single them out and focus on them, which can make for great comedy in and of itself. But i kinda liked being able to notice those little moments myself, and rewinding to see everybody's reactions individually.
I also don't know that i trust Kevin to not cut to the wrong person during the wrong moment, missing out on a great reaction from somebody else. Because what the fuck, Kevin.
Other than that it looks beyond amazing, and I'm super happy for these guys :D

It's extremely annoying. They need to stop trying to be like every stupid and annoying youtuber. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
+CrossfacePanda right? yeah it looks great but maybe the still shot would be better just for the fun of the show, at least just for this show, maybe not the more serious shows, GoG is totally unhinged like we see in this episode so it'd be nice to see everyone always, gamescast seems more fitting for the cutaways
I can see that being an issue, I never actually watch the video when I listen to these though. I'm always just browsing and listening to it as an audio file.
Hell yes! Love the new set! A lot of times w sets ruin the dynamic of the show but this really suits you guys and hasn't changed the mood at all!

I think they're trying to showcase the items on the shelves behind them, along with the monitor on the bottom like the other guy mentioned. Usually I like it nice and tight but I think the wide shot looks good here.

I don't think the switching of the cameras is necessary I like the regular wide angle..
