Dyna blaster / Bomber Man - Atari ST / STE

In this video, Dyna blaster/Bomber Man, released in 1992 for the Atari ST by Ubi Soft.
In single player mode you control White Bomberman who has the task of defeating his nemesis Black Bomberman, who has kidnapped the daughter of their inventor and imprisoned her inside a large castle. The game is divided into eight worlds, each of which is divided into eight levels. Each level is presented as a labyrinth from little to big ones, made up of blocks and enemies. Using the bombs, you must destroy all the obstacles that will block your path also eliminating all the monsters. Once all the enemies are defeated a hidden exit appears and you can advance to the next level. Each level also has hidden power-ups that can increase the number of bombs you can use, the firepower and other useful powers.to help you on your quest. Once you arrive in the eighth level of each world you will have to face and defeat the respective boss
The game also includes a multiplayer mode which allows fights between 2 or more humans. This mode is identical to that of the single player, except that the upgrades are more than one per level and you must defeat your opponents. There is also an alternative mode, called Skull Mode, in which sometimes skulls instead of bonuses will appear under the blocks and once collected some random unlucky things will happen.
Graphically the game is neat, essential, well made and well animated; the sound fx and the music are both good and pleasurable. The playability in single player is good but this game shines and becomes an awesome beast if you play it in multiplayer with friends. It can guarantee hours and hours of fun.

I can never go back to ST music following transition to the Amiga. I don't even remember these chip tunes, it's like my memory forcibly replaces the awful version with the Paula chip singing melodically! 😜
