Yeah man it hit me hard. LP was one of those bands that led me to find the music I really liked and made me want to play music. It was a very influential time for me. I think Chester got a lot of people through some tough times too. He is truly missed.

It really is amazing and magical that all these guys were able to come together and create such beautiful and powerful music that will live on for an eternity.

@@guywithaface887 I had already grown into a whole other music scene in post-hardcore by the time MtM came out. I just thought it sounded like pretty typical radio rock, too anthemic and basic for me. Personally the first two records were way more inventive. Everything that followed fit into nice little boxes of varying mainstream forms of rock or pop.

I'm glad you pointed that out because it made me see it differently because I felt like Mike just didn't want the video they were making focused on Chester and moved right away from the topic and he spent a lot of time texting during this as well. Joe seemed to be the only one that was actually watching the concert and that's why I clicked on it in the first place.

@@yetanothermau5 no. The band sent Chester a demo tape with three songs on it. The songs were Rhinestone, Esaul, and Pictureboard. One side had vocals while the other was instrumental. Brad said that the first song he heard with Chester on vocals was Pictureboard. And One is regarded as the first new song they wrote with their new vocalist.

For years I kept telling my kids someday we’ll go to a Linkin Park concert. Finally the time came bought the tickets and sadly Chester passed we kept the tickets. But life keeps going please guys you still have so much to give and I really hope I can be lucky to go to a Concert.
I had the $600 dinner with the band tickets for the Blinkin Park show in Hershey PA. Would have been my first LP show too. Still have the ticket. I also had tickets to the hunting party show but Chester fucked up his ankle playing basketball and that tour was cancelled too. So sad.

As a singer with a band inspired by LP, a well trained singer like Chester would not have that problem. He hit the wrong note because it was too loud and he can't hear the surrounding at all, thats why he was smiling and frustrsted at the same time

I didn't know this music went away? Ive been a diehard listener non-stop the past 22 years. I can't speak for the masses but in my house this music is going no where. My kids listen to it constantly and my 4 year old granddaughter is starting to bounce to hybrid theory n meteora. Nah, this music is going no where. Little did the audience of this concert know that a few months later, Crawling would make its way to TRL and turn LP Into one of the biggest and most well known acts in the music industry
They are pretty lucky they can say they were soldier from the beginning
I did. I knew they were going to be huge when I heard the single. That's why I bought tickets to this show.
When they're not on stage, they're like the chillest people in the world
My son indirectly introduced LP to me. He has always loved this band and was in HS when they came out with HT and has been to at least 5 or 6 LP concerts. They are one of his 2 top bands. His love for rock music actually came from me as hard rock is my favorite genre. I fell in love with LP around 2007 and quickly caught up and blasted all their albums from my car with the moon roof opened singing at the top of my lungs. I loved the loud guitars and manic drumming (Rob Bourdon is so underrated) like One Step Closer, What I’ve Done, New Divide, Burn it Down, etc. I also love listening to Chester sing the ballads like Pushing Me Away (so underrated), Shadow of the Day, Numb, Crawling, Leave out all the Rest, One More Light etc. LP wrote lyrics that resonated across all age groups and Chester knew just how to sing those words. At their last show in the UK at Birmingham, he sung Crawling in the most heartfelt way with just Mike at the keyboards it was also the most haunting and beautifully sung version of that song he’s ever done. When Chester died, I could not listen to any of their music until just recently, and I’m actually more devastated now than in 2017. Observing his wit, charm, kindness, humbleness, joyfulness, and life as a family man through the gift of videos on this platform has resulted in many tears and laughter. What a huge hole he has left. He truly is beloved by people all over the world and rightfully so. I miss him more than words can say.
Chester was an utter animal as a frontman, nobody came close to him in my opinion. Hybrid Theory still to this day is my all time favourite album, absolute childhood anthem, the ENTIRE album. Its was the album that started it all for me.. LONG LIVE LP MAN!

Chester used to smoke a lot back then, which is why his voice had an easier distortion to it. ( I don't recommend it, it may leave permanent damage) Chester quit a little after, which is why his later performances don't quite have that same rasp.

Damn Chester’s voice was soooo powerful... gave me chills. You can tell the band was so thankful during this time.

Chester sings like an angel and screams like a devil and Mike is simply brilliant and the whole band is a gift to both rock and rap fans.
As I grow older I realize how those linkin Park songs are so relevant in life.

He probably got hit the hardest because he was the other vocalist in the band.
Idk, Brad has literally not changed at all since the band started.
Dave just got a hit by a bus when it comes to age, 50% of his beard is white.

As hard as it must be for them to watch sometimes, I'm also really glad that they have so much footage from back then (and over the years) Having lost Chester, this footage is even more precious. I've lost people in my life and I have no footage of them. Photos are not the same. I miss seeing them in motion.
The last time we all watched a live stream of something from Linkin Park was October 27, 2017 at the Hollywood Bowl.
